Dinner, Aug. 1, 9 p.m. reservation. My sister-in-law, my wife, and I sat at the corner table. The restaurant is decorated in subdued tones, the tables are nicely spaced-out, the tableware is Limoges, the easy chairs are very comfortable. We were greeted by the chef's wife who enquired about our various allergies and came several times to our table to ask if everything was OK. All members of staff were discreet, efficient, and well trained. We chose the 7-course tasting menu which proved to be absolutely delicious (the tuna and truffle was out of this world and so was the extraordinary mille feuille but all the other dishes were superb). The Pouilly Fuissé recommended by the sommelier was the best we have ever tasted (and we have tasted many). When we ordered a taxi we were told there weren't any available (guess why Uber is so successful) but the chef's wife very kindly insisted on driving us home in her own car--this is what I call perfect service. All in all a well-deserved reputation.
