“More than 5 stars”
Reviewed 27 September 2019 for a stay in September 2019

This apartment could not be better! It is equipped for someone to stay permanently with a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen. The view is outstanding. The location is outstanding. Nathalie the owner treated us like personal guests with bread and pastries and flowers and wine on arrival. The street behind the apartment has all the personal shopping you need, with bakeries and butcher shops and delis and the post office. The spiral stairs to the apartment may hinder a few people, but in our late 60s we had no trouble with them. The private car parking up the street is a must for anyone staying in Honfleur.

“Amazing location, perfect flat and a host who goes the extra mile”
Reviewed 19 June 2019 for a stay in June 2019

All the llife of Honfleur is visible from this flat, high street, harbour, boats and ships and all. The first of many restuarants is two steps from the front door. Natalie met us on arrival, left us with a beautiful vase of flowers, a bottle of beer (to watch football !); a bottleof local cider, pastries and bread for the next morning. One of the window opens to give panoric views of the town, perfect for sipping wine and people watching. The flat is small, quirky, extremely well equipped and comfortable. The building is a traditional old Honfleur townhouse, the stairs are the same age and wind up to the second floor. I am fairly mature and had an injured knee but managed OK. Natalie helped to get our baggage in and out of flat on arrival and departure. There is a TV and Natalie kindly arranged an extra sports channel as we were interested. Little touches like docking stations, varied lights, oyster knifes et al were appreciated. As I am sure you can tell, We would highly recommend this flat and will be revising when possible.

Management Response
3 Jul 2019
Bonjour Sunil et Hazel,
Il faut revenir très vite. You need to come back urgently!.
I would like to explain that for historical Honfleur, it is not a small flat (certified area of 36 square meters/ Loi Carrez) with a real separate kitchen, separate WC and a separate bathroom with its tub, without forgetting a totally refurbished bedroom. Many other flats, you will find in Honfleur, are smaller. Honfleur was mainly built in the late Middle Ages, mine was built around 1770. I really think that my flat is an ideal place for a week holiday as you said.
Just a last remark about quirky. My English is not so good; I presume you were referring to the practical lay-out because as regards the decoration, It is fairly upmarket. I do not like cheap stuff. For example in the bedroom, you have Christian Lacroix wall paper; in the WC, Jean-Paul Gaultier.
I wish you "une bonne santé". Au plaisir de vous revoir l'année prochaine,
Nathalie

“Lovely apartment in a brilliant location”
Reviewed 12 April 2019 for a stay in April 2019

My wife and I have been travelling overseas regularly for many years and this is definitely one of the very best apartments we have stayed in. Honfleur, and the Vieux Bassin area in particular, are really lovely and Nathalie's apartment directly overlooks the Vieux Bassin. It is an old building but the apartment is fully renovated with everything you need. We stayed for a week but could happily have stayed longer. There is lots to see in Honfleur and there are lovely walks in and around the town and we also enjoyed just spending time in the apartment looking out on the scene below, busy with restaurants, cafes, boats on the Bassin and other activities. Nathalie met us on arrival and showed us where everything was and how everything worked. As an added bonus, we were delighted to find that Nathalie had left for us a beautiful bunch of fresh flowers as well as a bottle of very nice red wine, bread, pastries and gateaux. We recommend this apartment highly.

This is the second time we've stayed at Nathalie's lovely little apartment in Honfluer and it suits us perfectly! It's small but perfectly formed, has everything you need (in fact it's fantastically well equipped), it's warm and comfortable and the parking space is a real bonus (and only minutes away). Nathalie is always efficient, friendly and helpful too. Above all, the location is unbeatable and the view over le vieux bassin is stunning! We will definitely be back!!

Although it's quite a trek up a spiral staircase once there the views over the basin are superb. The apartment is well equipped and kitchen is well stocked but a bit small, as is the bedroom. Welcome pack is generous and the vase of fresh flowers was appreciated. Nathalie was friendly and helpful. The decor was a little tired and would benefit from some freshening up.
