Stopped for a beer on a hot afternoon. Great location in the old market with a great view of the world going by. Very much the place to see and be seen. Nice beer too!

Enjoyed many delicious coffees, beautifully served, hot, with a macaroon usually. Ice cold beers or wine. Sat outside, attentive service, cushions, heaters, watching the fountains, the shoppers & the market. Also enjoyed the best moules mariner ever!

Nice location with lots of space for kids to roam around while you enjoy your food. The mussels were great. We were welcomed by a very friendly and considerate waiter ( of Egyptian origin ) who was well attentioned.
The bad note comes out of the arrogant attitude of the owner manager when we came back to him about the beer which was not cold enough.... Only to be told that we knew nothing about how beers should be and that he had 25 years of experience in the business. Cherry on the cake was when he asked the waiter if we were strangers or locals.... We did not drink the hot beer and were still charged for it.
In any other decent place , one would be at least given an apology for the inconvenience caused and ultimately the charge would be waived off. Obviously not in the yacht cafe. The customer is always wrong there and they make sure you know it ......

Compared to most places in the area, this cafe offered shade (whilst still eating outdoors), friendly staff and good menu choices outside the usual seafood options that my young kids just wouldn't eat. They didn't have a highchair for my toddler but he managed fine on a chair. My 5yr old is terribly fussy but staff very happily provided dry pasta with her chicken nuggets (instead of chips), which is even hard to get in restaurants at home!
My husband had a burger and I had the croque monsieur with chips. Service was very quick and attentive, and the food was very tasty. There were even no nasty looks from staff when my exhausted toddler got quite cranky and loud, and the shade was a welcome relief with a lovely view of the market in front of us. Great clean bathroom facilities too. Delighted to have found this cafe.
