Stayed here the night after completing a 4 day trek from France to Spain along the Chemin de liberte. Was grimy and tired. Delighted with the spaciousness of the Apartment and the fact that the bathroom had a heated towel rail meant I could wash and dry a few clothes. Friends who stayed at a “name “ hotel on the civic square visited my apartment and considered I got substantially better facilities for a lesser cost

The hotel is only a few minutes away from the Toulouse-Matabiau station. As already said by other reviewers, there are some prostitutes in adjacent streets and the area can get quite noisy at nights (people shouting, arguing) and also in the mornings (they tend to deliver early and also they apparently collect bins every single day in France and clean the streets very early), but we always felt secure. The city centre is 15 minutes away by foot. We travelled with our car and got a place in the parking of the hotel (15 euro/night) – the parking is safe thanks to the gate and you are assured to get a place if you pay as they keep a count of cars. (12 places in total, enough place to park contrary to some previous reviews, and we don’t have a small car.) We had booked a T3 and were disappointed, seeing the price paid, not to have a balcony (only 1 of their 2 T3 has a balcony and the price is the same for both of them …), especially my father who did not want to walk all day long and could not enjoy an exterior while we were away. There is a small sitting area on the ground level in front of the hotel and also a very small swimming pool with 3-4 long chairs and another sitting area behind the fitness. The T3 is supposed to be for 6 persons but there are only 4 chairs with a small table and 1 sofa … I would certainly not recommend booking this if you are more than 4 people despite what’s mentioned on their website. The kitchenette is small but functional and well equipped. There is a dishwasher but, as you can see from our pictures, impossible to open it completely due to a misconfiguration of the kitchen! And we had to ask for dishwasher tabs because they were not replacing them every day. The bedrooms are small but beds comfortable, the sofabed was comfortable for sleeping but not very comfortable to sit because the cushions were not properly attached (and we never figured out how to do this). Small TV in one of the bedroom and another small on in the living area, but only 1 remote … strange. The bathroom is huge with a bath and a shower, enough towels replaced everyday if you put the used one in the bathtub (+ slippers and bathrobes), and refill of shampoo and soap. The cupboard in the lobby was fitted with a safe but unfortunately closed on our arrival – on the other hand, the hotel is safe, no need to lock your things. Housekeeping very well done, a nice smell of fresh when entering the room, but slow on some days (some other guests were also complaining that their room had not been done when coming back in the afternoon). Large reception area with a small breakfast room (no comment on it as we did not have breakfast there). Be careful with the opening hours of the reception as you may have to go first to the other aparthotel on the large avenue to check-in and get the codes/keys to get in. The reception lobby is nice indeed but the rooms could be refreshed with some paint and furniture changed to be more modern. It was quiet in the hotel until a family arrived with a noisy kid but you can have this in a 5-star hotel too unfortunately. There is also only 1 elevator and the cleaning staff also uses this one so on several occasions we had to wait. I know that the stars are given to hotels not on the look but rather on the amenities but, as a worldwide traveller, I would not rate this one as a 4-star not only for the general aspect of the room, but also because I have never seen staff of a 4-star hotel sitting outside, smoking and having coffee in front of customers. Last tip: take mosquito repellent with you, we were bitten dozens of times during our stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony and pre-book a parking place - check your arrival times against the reception opening hours

Location:
Excellent location only 5 minutes walk to the train / metro station which was ideal for traveling to and from the airport as well as Airbus. Supermarket only 2 minutes walk away. Capitole / Esquirol which were great shopping areas were only about a 15 minute walk.

Cleanliness:
Everything was spotless. Towels were changed daily.

Service:
All of the staff were very friendly and accodating. They answered any questions we had and arranged taxis for when we requested them.

The Aaprtment:
We had a 1 bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living room. It was very modern and spacious, and had everything you could need. It had a fully equipped kitchenette, dining table, tv, sofa bed, and a safe which was free of charge. The hotel also provided amenities such as tea and coffe making facilities, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries. There was also free WiFi.

Security:
The hotel was very secure. Upon check in the receptionist provided you with a code to access the hotel via an electronic gate. Furthermore upon entering the hotel you had to scan your room key to access the evelvators from the reception area.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. If I was returning to Toulouse I would definitely consider staying here again.
