“Almost perfect, but perhaps not for very young children”
Reviewed 14 July 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We really enjoyed our stay at Le Ramonetage, and we can't fault Ingrid as a most excellent and thoughtful host - the apartment was very well appointed and stocked with a tasty selection of goodies to start us off for the week; Ingrid also provided a high-chair and cot for our one year old which meant we didn't need to struggle with them on the plane. The only two things that didn't work that well for us were: the lack of a bath (trying to shower with an uncooperative and slippery toddler is a black art) and the fact that the second bedroom is only separated from the lounge by a set of thin glass doors - this limited our ability to relax in the evening a little as our baby monitor didn't work outside and we had to be sneaky sneaky quiet to avoid waking the little guy.

“What a perfectly wonderful holiday apartment!”

First, apologies for being very late with this review – we had a perfect 10 days in this fantastic apartment this is located in a small village near Narbonne. The apartment is clean, very, very comfortable and exceptionally well appointed. We often cook and had no issues whatsoever - we had all the tools we needed. Everything worked great and there is plenty of space. Oh, and the gardens around the house are beautiful! You are in a small village so a car is necessary, but the apartment is perfectly located to take advantage of the area – historic/ancient Narbonne, the markets in Lezignan, the profusion of border castles – the list goes on. Ingrid is incredibly welcoming and we sincerely appreciated her advice and information. So much so that we returned to the area for a recommended event after we had departed! Thank you for making this great holiday let available – we had a wonderful time!

“An idyllic and relaxing place to spend your holiday!”

My husband and I were travelling with our 15 year old twins and had a wonderful time at Le Ramonetage. The accommodations were lovely, even better than the photos suggest, and the pool and gardens were delightful. Our teenagers especially loved the ping pong table in the games area below our apartment. Ingrid was the perfect host, very gracious and welcoming. We arrived really late in the evening and she had left us wine on our arrival, and very kindly brought us freshly baked croissants and a baguette for breakfast the next morning. The first evening she even delivered a basket of fresh produce from her lovely garden. Amazing! The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking a few dinners there, or going out for dinner at some local restaurants. Le Ramonetage is very well-located, and we loved exploring the surrounding area (Lagrasse, Carcassone) and going as far as Peyreperteuse to see a beautiful medieval castle perched high on a mountaintop. The beach at Leucate was a favorite too! Altogether a fantastic holiday! Would love to go back to this piece of heaven!

“A slice of heaven in the Aude Valley”

We rented le Ramonetage for a month. The accommodations were terrific. It is a small apartment, but worked well for a family of 4. The grounds are beautiful - lavender everywhere. The pool is fantastic - and we lived in it for hours every day. Ingrid, the owner, is wonderful. She was helpful and accommodating. We left feeling like we have a good friend in Raissac.
If you want to walk to shops and restaurants, this is not the place for you. We didn't mind driving out each day, but might not be ideal for everyone. Narbonne is close by, as is the beach and 20 minutes east brings you to Carcassonne - which is a must see. This was our second visit to the region and we still haven't seen everything!
Ingrid - thanks for a delightful stay. We miss the bells.

“Comfortable, relaxing and well located”

We have just spent 2 relaxing weeks at Le Ramonetage. The apartment was well equipped and everything worked as advertised, including wifi. the pool was lovely too with BBQ equipment right next to it. Ingrid welcomed us with a bottle of local wine. The optimum start after a second day of 6 hours on the road! The cycling around the area is great- especially along the Canal du Midi and in the plain around the River Aude. The Canal is only a 15 minute ride away along quiet plane-tree fringed roads.
For sight seeing etc Carcassone, Beziers, Narbonne and the Med are all within 50 minutes easy driving. If you are planning to arrive from/past Paris and Orleans then I recommend A20 via Limoges and Toulouse. The A75 over Auvergne and Millau is spectacular but more stressful with some aggressive speed cameras! Nuff said.
