Relatively small restaurant is not so far from city center. Small street, quite place. It isn't touristic place, menu is only in French, waiters speaks in English, big not perfect. Tables are outside and everything good if weather is without rain. Menu isn't big, some sets for a dinner. Sea food is this restaurant speciality. Fish soup, different kind of fishes on a grill or fired in oil. Fresh stuff like oysters. Everything is relatively slow. There is a selection of vines and deserts. Prices are different, in average moderate: fish soup 12euro, 6xOysters 9euro. Positive experience for dinner overall.

Thought this might be a nice place for seafood. Went with a shellfish lunch menu, sea snails, mussels and frites. The sea snails were barely edible with the help of aioli but the mussels were uneatable (is that a word?). The broth was super salty. I figured perhaps I could have ordered better but when I saw the food come out for other diners (mostly fried fish) I realized this is more a fish-and-chips place than to come for a good meal. The server spent most of his time outside talking on the phone.

Our concièrge referred us to Chez Toto and to the companion business across the street, La Morue (The Cod). We were there on Saturday night, Valentine's Day weekend, and La Morue seemed full. We asked cheerful and energetic Muriel if there was a table at Chez Toto, and she said no, unless we were willing to sit outside. We were, and were not disappointed. Muriel was a whirlwind of energy and joy. We enjoyed a half dozen fabulous oysters, some tellerines (tiny bivalves) in aioli, and a main dish of octopus, tomato, onion, and capers. While the tellerines were very flavorful, the meat of the tellerine is only about a third the size of a short pinky fingernail, so really you're sucking garlic mayo off of shells; not much in terms of substance, but full of flavor and a vehicle for garlic. We had a half carafe of a nicely palatable but inexpensive wine from Nimes (8.5 euros). All delicious. When we were ready to go, Muriel treated us to another glass of wine with her. All told, 44 euros for two, wine included. And in France, your tip is included in the bill. And then she got us into La Morue (run by her husband) for Valentine's Day evening, though our concièrge had told us it was sold out. Her enthusiasm and friendliness earned her an additional tip from us. We'll be here for a few more days, and will make it a point to return.

The most amazing fish soup....and the rest was also very good. Even if you don't like fish, there is enough choice. Be there early, it's busy (for a reason). We also like the service, cool.

We ordered a fish soup as a starter and two main dishes. The starter would have been enough to leave the restaurant. Unfortunately, we had already ordered the rest.
Lowest quality ever. The food was comparable to a canteen food and prices definitely too high. Never again.
