Had a 1-night stay here on a motorbike tour. On arrival found parking in the gravelled yard a bit tricky but the owner came out and cleared the concrete patio for us. It’s a lovely old family-owned house with great history and quaintly converted into a quirky hotel, so it it still feels like visiting somebody at home (which is great). Closer to town than we had thought, so it’s just a walk to restaurants, etc. We came back late evening soaking wet from the rain and madame kindly gave us hot coffee, cake and Grand Marnier to warm us up. What hospitality!

Room Tip: All of the rooms we booked were great.

This gorgeous hotel is a converted mansion, full of tasteful antiques, about 12 minutes easy walking distance to the city centre. Our room was charming and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good and parking on site was easy. The warm, friendly hosts couldn’t Thanks be more helpful. Isabella was a sweetheart to us in finding washing facilities when the laundromat was closed. Absolutely nothing to fault in this delightfully relaxing hotel.

Good location and easy to find, 15min walk into the old city. Great on site parking.
Rooms were a little old andmbed was low and small, but very clean and bathrooms good. Friendly staff and lovely fresh breakfast, plenty of it and served in a charming dinning room. Would certainly recommend this as a great stop over.

Room Tip: All rooms pretty much the same I think. Some overlook the main road but not noisy as it’s a quiet road and the windows are kept shut.

This is a very nice place to stay when in Carcassonne. It is very close to downtown restaurants. The owners were helpful in directing us to the only restaurant opened in the area on a Sunday evening and it was a very good spot to eat. The wifi worked well, the room was clean. The pillow was a little hard for my liking but the bed was comfortable.

We spent two days at the Montsegur. If you are looking for luxury this is not your hotel. If you are looking for an authentic French experience then I would highly recommend. The hotel is located approximately a 10 minute walk into the centre of the new town with it's square, shops and bars and approximately 25 minutes to the famous old town. We had breaskfast at the hotel both days which was adequate although a little expensive. There is a bakery just down the road if you so choose. The owners/managers were very nice and they gave off a very friendly and kind vibe. In France you must always attempt to speak the language, even basic words, as it really does go along way and the locals appear to warm to you more.
