This restaurant is very popular with the over-50 crowd & that is a sure fire sign that a/ it is not trendy & b/it is REALLY good. On a cold winter's night my husband and I totally stuffed ourselves with French classics: andouille, boudin, charcuterie etc., Every dish was delicious & lovingly prepared. Even the desserts were quite tasty.

If you like organs, especially pig or veal, this is the place for you. A true experience of lyonnaise cuisine.

This was a very nice French restaurant. Clean, cozy, the staff was wonderful. And it was packed! The only problem for me was just that the menu truly was mostly offal - organ meats. A lot of feet, stomach, bone marrow, and sweetbread (NOT sweet bread ^_^ ). We were told it is true Lyonnaise-style. So I guess that is what they like to eat in Lyon.

Saw the awning while walking to Versaille and decided to come back here for a late lunch. When they say "Cuisine Traditionnelle Lyonnaise" you know it must be good. Everything we had was terrific. Service was good, but not overwhelming. Had a little trouble deciphering the menu, but once we did it was a wonderful lunch. Had a beef stew that just simply melted in your mouth. Ended with a rhubarb tarte. Glad we found this place.

A short walk from Versailles castle, Le Bouchon serves specialities from the city of Lyon. Cured sausages, terrines, cervelle de canut. The quenelles in Nantua sauce was delicious. The wine list is extensive and is either served by the glass, by pitcher (pichet) or by bottle. We had a Côte du Rhône which went well with our food. Serving size was generous and personnel was charming. We'll be back.
