Description: Michel has reenacted an old Parisian restaurant where under the supervision of Rosalie he elaborates some of the best French traditional dishes such as: crayfish tails gratine with Macon blanc-Terrine of foie gras served with tiny potatoes brushed with truffle olive oil, fresh shives and flower salt from “guerande”- Veal breast with thyme, slowly braised 48 hours at °F145 - Heart of veal sweetbread Alexander style. Icing on the cake, is the home made Pastrami noted 4 stars by American patrons of the restaurant. The "he Man"pieces of meat are carved in front of the patrons. Michel signs all his recepies inherited or inspired by his forbears, some of them being dishes requiring lots of tender loving care.

On entering the restaurant one is somewhat apprehensive. It is old fashioned so one is not going for its atmosphere or a modern decoration. Being in a crowd or family it does not matter. The welcome was warm the service excellent and the food of high quality both in the ingredients and taste. The chicken stuffed with truffles was delicious as was the cheese cake only on Fridays. It is well worth the visit and was sensibly priced. The wine list was adequate and not overpriced.

This little Gem is tucked well out of the way and could be missed if you blink. We had a recommendation from our hotel and so pleased we went with it. On the night we were greeted by Jaqueline who made us feel so welcome and will open with would you like to speak English or practice your French . The recommendations were spot on, there specialty is an amazing smooth pate and an awesome veal dish, my wife had a succulent chicken dish complimented with a perfect sauce. I loved it so much that on our last day we wanted to go back again. Sadly on a Sunday it’s closed, our loss . The next time we are back in Paris where ever we will be staying we will definitely be going again.

This restaurant is everything you want when visiting Paris, traditionally french in every way from the menu to the service and decor. The manager of the restaurant Jacqueline, treated us like locals. The food was excellent, no wonder the locals try and keep it quiet!

Thanks for those keen and kind words. You are quite right, we are suffering from the syndrome of "I DONT WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT"!
Anyhow, next time you are coming in, please let yourself known Mr Artkuntz.

A lovely place to have a quiet dinner with friends, family or a loved one. Perfect for any occasion. From the first step through the door it felt like we were time travelling to early 20th century Paris. Music and atmosphere were just brilliant, exactly what you would want for your dinner. Food was also amazing, honestly, anything you order will have a rich and wonderful taste. Would 100% recommend.
