I ordered the sampling dish served on injera bread, with two more bread discs to scoop the food with.
Good flavours apart from the bland crumbling cheese but it is a contrast that some will welcome as the meat sauce is a bit spicy (but not too spicy).
The food could have been warmer. It was just above lukewarm. It did not detract from the nice flavours though.
Nice fresh mango for dessert.
Service rather indifferent - it was rather late & midweek but still.

We discovered this place by chance and wanted to give it a try. The place is not really cozy, but the food was very tasty and as far as we can judge authentic. We usually don't eat with our fingers, but the given instructions worked quite well. The Ethiopian coffee was perfect, prices ok and the service very friendly.

We spotted this restaurant on the way back to our hotel on several occasions. The menu looked unusual, different and interesting. As we had an Anniversary to celebrate the day before returning home we decided to try it out. The owner, who has been in Paris for 20 years, was 'front of house' and his wife prepared the meals. He was charming, very helpful and talked through the menu and was extremely patient with our endless questions. As my wife prefers mostly vegetarian and myself meat dishes, the obvious choice was a large sharing platter. The Owner then schooled us how best to eat the meal using the accompanying stretchy, bready pancake thing. My request for perhaps using a spoon was politely refused and I believe the gist of his answer was along the lines that 'they didn't use them and I should jolly well eat the same way as everyone else in the restaurant' So funny.
The meal was delicious and the whole evening will forever stay in our mind - a very memorable Anniversary.

First time for me with the Ethiopian food: amazing experience! The waiter was nice and helpful: he thought us how to eat and suggested us best dishes. The restaurant is cozy, not expensive and located in an area in which there are too many tourist traps... in other words , Addis Ababa is an island just behind Pigalle if you are tired of French food and want to try something new and tasty !
