This small hotel is within walking distance of both Gare du Nord, Garde l'est and the Moulin Rouge and close to Metro and bus stops, so extremely well placed. The Sacre Coeur is unbelievably close and there are numerous extremely good restaurants. The rooms are small, no air conditioning, no fan and the twin we stayed in had only one (dubious) socket to charge phones with. The shower room was missing a glass panel so floor got very wet, but it worked well. The decor is dated, and in need of few repairs... but for the price it is a very good place to stay. The breakfast is limited- one roll, one croissant- one pot of fruit puree... and this is served downstairs by the reception with everyone sharing tables. It is the location that makes this hotel an excellent choice. If they fixed their problems they could charge three times what they do, so I am happy to stay with peeling paint, shabby carpets and exposed pipes ... Use Google Maps to get around and you'll have no problems at all.

Excellent location for exploring all of Paris. Surrounded by good ice cream, cafes and bistros.
Our room are tired and could do with update (I’m personally not a fan of peeling paint in my bathroom) but the beds were comfy and the shower pressure was great.
Breakfast was better than expected - warm fresh croissants and bread, with fresh fruit and yogurt, and of course coffee.

Hard to believe this is only a 2 star! Friendly helpful staff. Scrupulously clean. Good beds for sleeping. Great breakfast included. Had a small problem with tv and it was fixed immediately. Excellent location in colorful exotic fabric district JUST below the tram to Sacre Coeur. groceries and restaurants within walking distance. Even a Steak & Shake!! 2 minute walk to pick up double-decker sightseeing buses. We have traveled the world and enjoy a good budget-priced comfortable stay! Wifi, too!

Room Tip: First floor rooms are great.

Nice place to stay, though not really for children. Rooms are ok (not very clean), the bath is large, breakfast is fine (no swedish buffet). Location is good (near Anvers Metro) as Sacre Couer is two minutes away. The host is friendly. Boutiques and supermarkets are nearby.

If you are going to visit Montmartre/painters, Sacre Coeur church, see shows in Moulin Rouge, and do bargain shopping, this is the right hotel. It has 2 metro stations nearby to take you to the airport and Paris center. There are 2 supermarkets within 50-100m and a lot of restaurants and shops around. It also offers very good breakfast for the reasonable hotel price you pay. You get served individually with your choice of coffee, tea, or chocolate/milk in pitchers good for about 2 servings each as well as a basket of croissant and baguette. Then you are free to get fruit, yoghurt (different types), jam, nutella, and butter. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the room cosy and warm when Paris was freezing/biting cold. The room was small but structured properly so you can freely move around. It has bathroom, toiletries, cabinet, tables, chairs & TV. They clean the rooms everyday. The elevator was tiny and could accomodate 3 small persons at a time but it was functioning well. The breakfast personnel & cleaning ladies were all nice and reception , very service-oriented. We were lucky to be able to check in early in the morning (there was one room free) and we could store our luggage after check out.
