Probably the best genuine US BBQ place in Paris. Awesome beef brisket. Biscuits. Mashed potatoes. Three of us ate like kings for Euro 70, which is pretty reasonable by Paris standards. The location is on a side street, pretty close to Place de La Republique. Everyone spoke English. Great place if you are nostalgic for some genuine home cooking. The seating area is pretty small. would suggest getting there around opening time.

Having just left Paris, the irony is that I had what can certainly rival the best Texas BBQ. We stayed at a condo next door, and: (1) the posted pictures do not capture how perfectly realistic this Paris BBQ joint is, and do not capture how moist the brisket is (which is my standard test for a BBQ place), (2) they have a great bourbon selection run by a mademoiselle from Kentucky, and (3) the chef's BBQ rivals some of the most famous places in Texas.

My credentials:
(1) I have eaten at most of the notable Texas BBQ places from Austin to Houston and in between,
(2) I hail from KY and know something about bourbon, and
(3) what I find better than some of the TX BBQ is how moist the brisket is with a great crust on the outside.

Definitely worth a try when you are in Paris and do not have any plans on getting to Texas soon. Bon Appe'tit !

This place should be one of those must go to places when travelling through the centre.
Not only is the food fantastic but the atmosphere of the place is amazing. But it is the food you will certainly remember - the ribs are a real experience - tender is just not adequate to describe them, then there is the beef brisket you can't jump over. The staff are really friendly and willing to talk about anything you want to know about their meet and restaurant. It is a really relaxed place to spend an evening and taste their good range of Whiskey.

The Beast is a very unique, very different restaurant-- ordering and paying for the meal are not traditional, but that is ok. The food is great-- particularly the beef ribs and mashed potatoes. We are from Utah, USA, so we have Texas BBQ often-- it's different in the US, but this Parisian spin on BBQ is phenomenal.

The Brisket is great: smokey, fall-apart moist, and great rub flavor. The side BBQ sauce was nice with a little spice, good stuff. French beer is very light and floral, blondes and a sort of generic Heineken flavor which is great if you like that. We do not. We are used to the bitter IPAs and heady, hop flavors of the States. The Beast had American beer which is the only thing we missed while in Paris. The portion size is good and the atmosphere is very upscale, BBQ cool. We enjoyed it greatly. Only 2 issues to note: first, the biscuits were cold and came from a container on the side of the pick up counter, a little warmth and softness would have been nice. And 2, the only thing that we really didn't like, the mac and cheese is not what you expect from mac and cheese. It's rigatoni noodle in a cup with cheese sauce dumped on top. Not inedible but not really what could be called mac and cheese. Other than that, this place is great!
