This is a must do attraction, good for all of the family. The fixed Balloon goes high enough to pick out some of the major Parisian sights. It lasts about ten minutes and is reasonably priced at approx. 12 euro . Something a bit different. Would recommend.

We approached this balloon flight with few hopes for such a great experience. We knew it may not go up if the weather was bad and it had been raining the previous two days, We arrived early and realised we were the only people there. How exciting! The weather was great too. Even more exciting! Then round the corner came three groups of Chinese tourists all following their leader holding an umbrella, even though there were no crowds. Given the appalling behaviour of their fellow countrymen on the Seine boat the day before, our hearts sank.
The pilot appeared. At this point our fluent French came to the fore, as we explained yesterday's antics. He motioned for us to follow him, so we did, out through the crowd of Chinese, already taking selfies, down the path, into the gate, closing the gate behind us, ignoring shouts from tour guides and into the balloon.
We then just took off, with three of us on board and had a personal commentary and a good half hour in the skies. Not sure how high it goes and of course it's tethered but it was magical. If you think the views from any of the towers are good then do try this - they're as great as can be and you do feel like you're flying. At €12 each it's a real bargain too.
When we came down there were strange looks all round from those in the queue and we did feel a tad sorry for a French couple who saw just us get out of the balloon.
Vive la France!

After a lovely breakfast at the hotel we asked the concierge to ring and confirm our morning activity as we planned to visit ‘The Balloon de Paris’, a tethered helium balloon, which we knew could be subject to closure due to poor weather. They informed as that ‘at the moment’ but reminded us it could be closed without notice. With this in mind, we headed to the subway and arrived 45 minutes later only to discover the wind conditions were ‘variable’ and as such made flying unsafe. Very disappointing after such a trek to get to it. While we were they we watched the pilot head out to the balloon and take it up. It was halfway up when a gust of wind rocked it quite a lot and the pilot descended again. As he passed us he informed us it was still not stable enough to go up so we gave up. A shame really but safety comes first.
I would still have liked to go but with limited time in Paris its not a "guaranteed activity"..
We were on the Eiffel tower the next day and saw it flying - missed by one day.

Definitely recommend - away from the tourist traps with a great view of Paris including the Tower and its good value - only 10 minutes but a nice experience

In Parc André Citroën in 15th area of Paris you can have a unique experience solo, couple, with family ( small or teenagers) having a different view of Paris from a ballon. Tickets are free for children leaving in Paris and 12€ per person.
Check the weather before leaving, the short 10 min flight may be cancelled due to windy conditions.
You can also prepare your picnic to enjoy the parc located by the Seine.
