We ate a couple of times in this restaurant, the food is excellent, it tastes very well and it is very well presented. The service is a little slow but always done with kindness and care. The portions are generous. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to taste persian food in Paris.

The ratings of this restaurant are pretty self explanatory: it’s just perfect. From the quality of the food to the attention of the amiable staff ensures a staggering experience and a must to visit if you are in this area. It’s is unavoidable to return to this place.
The traditional Iranian food has pronounced flavors which harmoniously blend together in the mouth. It’s doesn’t matter what you choose, everything is delicious.
There aren’t many waiters; in fact, the owner also serves food. This means that it’s sometimes difficult to get their attention, especially when it’s crowded. That said, it gives a whole “boutique” and cozy feeling to the restaurant which creates a warmer, more comfortable atmosphere. It’s also important to note that the staff is very caring and meticulous.
The restaurant itself is located in the heart of “little Tehran” where there are many other restaurants and Iranian grocery stores. The establishment is directly located on the side of the street, which can be problematic when the windows are open as noises from the traffic outside can be quite parasitic.
Overall this restaurant is exceptional and you shouldn’t hesitate about going there or not.

This cute little Persian restaurant in Paris' 15th arrondissement has changed owners in 2017: it used to be a dull, dark and poorly decorated place but the new owner is a stylish and tasteful Persian lady who has turned Cheminee into a nicely decorated and enjoyable place with Persian miniatures and handicrafts.
Unfortunately the food quality and the service are really disappointing.

Let's start with the service: unlike the restaurants next door -like Mazeh- where customers are lining up, during my 3 visits to this restaurant there were barely 3 tables occupied. Yet, we had to wait 10 minutes every time to request anything: the servers kept going in a back room to chat together or speak on the phone, with little attention to customers. Not very professional.

The quality of the food was average. Kashk-e Bademjan (smoked aubergine) with no 'Kashk'. Kabab overcooked and dry, served with lukewarm rice. Low quality bread. Not worth the price (which is not lower than the other restaurants on this block). Oh, and I forgot: they keep running out of rice, running out of meat, etc: they do no seem to have experience managing their stocks.

My advice: go hear to drink a tea and have some Persian pastries, and enjoy the decor. Avoid ordering any food.

Thank R C

The food at this establishment is excellent. Everything is prepared fresh - probably the best Middle Eastern food/Persian we have had in Paris in a long time. Particularly impressed with the beef which was succulent and tender, well seasoned. They have a variety of great appetizers that are very well done. The place is small, warm and cozy, exactly what you want of a small Parisian neighborhood place. Lets hope they stay consistent and continue with the great preparations and service.
