At the end of our break walking from our hotel to the station we popped into this restaurant for a late lunch.

We ordered their classic cheese burgers. The interior was cosy and overlooked the road junction. The place was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and patient with our inability to speak French and did their best to speak English (typical tourists).

The burgers were large and amazingly tasty, the beef was soft and not chewy. The cheeses were overflowing and not some cheap slice.

Cost was reasonable and a nice meal to end our visit.

We ended up in Le Corail after being turned away from the restaurant we were trying to eat in, due to them closing early, despite their website saying 11.30pm close.

The menu here did not have many selections that suited our palette or desire, so we opted for a couple of simple dishes, the roasted chicken with fries (€16) and the cheese burger with fries (€14).

We were going to order some drinks but was so shocked to see that they wanted €4.5 for a small Coca Cola and €5 for a small beer, so we had tap water and an apple juice at €5. I think these prices are ridiculous for something that you can buy locally for less than €1.

The food arrived promptly and I have say it was all very tasty, surprised to see the burger had a nice side salad but nothing with the roast chicken. A small selection of bread was served at the same time but without butter, not sure if this is the norm in France, I say this as it has happened a couple of time recently.

I think the prices are a bit high for the food you get, there are also a good few places with better menu choices and food quality locally if you go looking and combined with the drinks prices I feel this place only deserves 3 star rating.

Came here on the first night of my holiday with my boyfriend as only a couple of minutes walk from our hotel. Warm friendly staff and excellent service. Delicious desserts and wine. Steaks well cooked. Came back for our last night in Paris as enjoyed it so much and we’d had an horrific time at pizza hut on our second night. Definitely will be returning next time we come to Paris.

Being right next to our hotel we ended up here on our first night and because of the excellent food, service and ambience came back for our last night. The staff were all incredibly courteous and friendly, the food impeccably presented and full of flavour. Dining felt first class for us and we shall return here should we come back to Paris.
