Great location, nice beds, quirky lift, helpful staff. Yes the bedrooms are small so if your planning on swinging a cat not the place for you. For everybody else - reasonable, funky hotel right in the centre - and the courtyard facing rooms are lovely and quiet.

Great location! Walk a quarter of a block out the hotel door and you are on the Place de la Sorbonne, where cafe tables spill out the cafe doors toward the fountains. Walk down the Boulevard Saint Michel down to the river and Notre Dame -- just ten or fifteen minutes. You are totally in the center of the Latin Quarter, and can walk pretty much anywhere.

Amazingly, there is an actual computer in each room, so researching the next day's activities was very simple.

The rooms are small, the bathrooms even smaller. We were there during a warm spell in April and kept the windows open all night (they opened onto a courtyard) and it was quite quiet (we stayed 6 days). Very comfortable beds.

Room Tip: Don't miss Cluny Museum - 2 blocks away.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights. It is a great location, literally 5 minutes walk to the River Seine, and lots of great shops, bars, and places to eat nearby. The design and decor is very classy. We stayed in a standard double room, number 15. It was small but enough room for two. Shower was great. My only complaint is that the walls are thin and on the last night we had trouble sleeping due to the man in the next room snoring loudly! Can hear the pipes and water running from other bathrooms too, but if you've had a busy day walking around Paris, nothing will keep you awake long at the end of the day. The staff were lovely and kept hold of our luggage when we arrived early, and spoke French, English, Spanish, and Deutsch. Also, all rooms have an iMac- win!

All in all, a pleasant stay, and for the price, location, and classy decor, there isn't much to fault. Would definetly stay again!

Room Tip: Eat breakfast out- its cheaper!

My husband and I stayed with our friends at the Design Hotel Sorbonne from 26-29 of march. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It is perfectly located, with a direct train from CDG to Luxembourg station, which is situated 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

The entire hotel is newly restored, everything is so chic and cool. All the rooms have different decor, with bright colours. Our room was overlooking the quiet yard, while our friends were overlooking the Sorbonne university (they didn´t complain about any noise from the university in the morning, we all slept like babies :-D) Everything is clean, and with a Mac computer in every room, you can watch TV, surf the internet, listen to music etc.

Its in the PERFECT location, Sorbonne is literally next door (hence the name of the hotel :-D) The Pantheon and Luxembourg Garden is 1 minute walk away, Notre Dame and Il-saint-louis 5-10 minutes away - It is perfect. The neighbourhood is so romantic, filled with little cafés, small streets...I really want to go back soon! If I ever go to Paris again, I will definetly stay here again!!
