For a brief trip to Paris, this apartment offers a central location with very easy access to all major sights and a wonderful view over the chimney pots to Notre Dame. As long as your children are old enough to negotiate 6 flights of stairs and (hopefully) carry a small bag or two, this is a good option for families. The photos are all very representative.
If possible, DON'T eat nearby. Rue de la Harpe and it's neighbouring streets used to be known as "bacteria alley", but whilst you are unlikely to actually become unwell, the local restaurants are on average, very poor quality. Even the numerous creperies have stacks of pre-cooked crepes which they reheat, rather than cook to order. Grab a Metro to any other arrondissement and enjoy better dining options.
The owner, Aurelien, was always contactable during our stay and very helpful. For our visit over Christmas, he even organised a Christmas tree and decorations for the roof terrace. This was wonderful, given there was no way on earth we would consider lugging a tree up those stairs!
One small point worth mentioning is the complete lack of a fire exit in the building. Not the place to stay for those who worry about such things.. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this apartment and would recommend it to others wanting reasonably priced accommodation in the Latin Quarter.More
