Hotel du Cadran Tour Eiffel

Reviewed 1 February 2011

My husband and 2 year old stayed at this hotel for the weekend b/c it was recommended in Rick Steves travel book. First, they gave us the a 10% discount and free full breakfast just as Rick Steves stated in his book by mentioning his name. Second, the breakfast was fantastic. Third, they accommodated to our son with a crib and allowing us to have a late check out so he could nap before our train ride back to London. The hotel is very modern and our room was quiet and comfortable and CLEAN!!! Also, the kitchen staff helped us heat up our lunch for our son as we got the food at a nearby grocery/cafe and supplied us with utensils. They assisted us with places to go and recommendations. In addition, the location is fantastic if you want to truly have the Parisan experience with Rue Cler road right there-great food and crepes nearby with nutella and bananas. The hotel participated in making our journey a very wonderful and memorable experience.

Stayed at Hotel du Cadran for 4 nights in January 2011. Chose to stay here from the reviews on Trip Advisor.
Located close to the Eiffel Tower and Invalides. In a fantastic area for restaurants (Restaurant Mariette, Le Billebaude, Les Bosquet) and fresh produce. Easy walk to both the Metro and RER.
The staff we're all very friendly and helpful, the communal areas were clean with a modern look.
The bedroom was on the 5th floor, small but fine for our needs.
A couple of things we did feel the room lacked were tea and coffee making facilities and an area to store bags/suitcases (there was a small area under the wall hung seat but only suitable for one medium sized suitcase).
One thing that did annoy us (but only slightly) was the main door into the room had a rather large door stop, preventing the door from opening fully and finishing at quite a distance from the wall which made it awkward entering and exiting the room, especially with luggage.
Apart from these minor things we had a very enjoyable stay.

As mentioned in the title above, we had a very pleasent stay. All the people at the reception were great. they speak good English. In addition, they didn't spare any effort in guiding us to where ever we want to go with all options and best choices. So, that modern style really deserve a visit and stay.

I spent 4 days at Hotel Cadran. The staff were very kind, helpful and well informed. I loved the minimalist decor of the rooms. They had everything you would want but in a very well designed modern concept. The bedside shelves that served as tables were a bit too small but, the bathrooms were fantastic. The up to the minute fixtures and decor really were a delight. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Also it is so well placed for both sides of the river.
