It is always a pleasure to return to the Hotel Bersolys, particularly so this year, as Madam Sylvie, the charming owner of the hotel, has added new suites. The Bersolys now combines its convenient Left Bank location with ample space, which is a rarity in this area. The suites are very comfortable and the rooms are quaintly furnished with excellent wifi, two flat screened TVs, two bathrooms and comfortable beds. The staff all speak English and are very polite and helpful

Room Tip: Highly recommend the new suites

Great location in the charming St Germain Area close to the Louvre. we spent 3 nights in May 2015. I had requested front facing rooms for ourselves and friends. The Hotel confirmed these rooms immediately, and we were very happy with them. They were not large( I do not expect large rooms in these old type of Paris Hotels) , but they were big enough and bright and airy and full of charm. Would definitely recommend, but make sure you ask for a front facing room.
Our breakfast was not included, which I did not realise, so check this when booking.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
All and all a nice stay in Paris

Although the Hotel Bersolys has an excellent location near the Musee D'Orsay and the Louvre, I do not recommend this hotel. The room was the typical Paris postage stamp sized, which looked onto an inner corridor making the room dark. The room smelled of sewer smells if you tried to open the window. The bathroom was even smaller than French standards. I am a very slim person but could barely squeeze through the shower door. If you dropped the soap during a shower, you would have to get out of the shower to pick it up! Although the madame said she was there to help, when I asked for assistance in booking a restaurant that I particularly wanted to go to, she asked why I would want to go to that particular restaurant when she had many better options to recommend (a kickback perhaps?). The breakfast was a typical Paris breakfast with croissants, french bread etc.; however the fruit cocktail was canned, the cheese almost nonexistent, and the apples offered were so old as to be inedible. I think one can do much better for the price than this hotel. I do not recommend it at all.

Room Tip: If you insist on staying here, select the room that includes a tub rather than just a shower. At least you will be able to fit into the bathroom.

The hotel is ideally placed close to Louvre and Rue De Bac train station, its central and has a certain old Paris culture to it we spent 2 nights and loved it, accept the lift could just accommodate one big adult at one time going up or down.

The staff both gentleman's very nice, helpful and forthcoming to show us or guide us with information we required, although the female I would ask her to be more pleasant and little less rude.

Room Tip: its good to stay here if you are Art enthusiast, as their are loads of art showrooms around the hotel...beware a lot of bars and mostly everything closes by 7 pm

My family of five, children ages 10, 7 and 4, stayed there and had a great experience. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. Each day Sylvie asked where we were going, made recommendations, helped us call to confirm reservations, etc. The rooms were clean and cute. We stayed in a "family room" which is like two connected / open rooms with one locking door; two bathrooms which was really nice. As is with anything-Paris, our rooms were small and tight though. The staircase could be dark at night, but it was plenty big and they also had a very small elevator for luggage that we used. The location couldn't be better! We were just down the street from the Orsay Museum, and we walked to the Louvre, Tuilleries Park, Notre Dame, Metro, etc. If my four year old will walk it, you know those are all really close! The neighborhood has a lot of art galleries and expensive boutique shops, so you might have to go elsewhere for shopping though. The AC was so nice, and WiFi was great (when it went out, I let hotel manager know and she reset it and it worked again immediately).

Room Tip: This hotel has nice rooms, we stayed on the first floor. I understand they also have a studio down the street with laundry amenities too. There was a little noise one night from the main street.
