Was in Paris for a very short time, love the place!
Took a river cruise to see the sights, got off at the Louvre, had a coffee and cake, yummy!
Needed a pee, as most people do on occassions.
So I went to the shopping mall under the pyramid at the Louvre, went to the toilets, loo or whatever you call it.
€1.5 for a pee!
Now I know they were taking the piss!
And I know where the P in Paris comes from.
Am contemplating buying an old double decker buss and converting it into a ambulating public convenience at €0.5 a go.
The French lavatory authourities would poo themselves...
Tip go before you go to the Louvre!

It's hard to not be positive about the Louvre. It's possibly the best collection of art in the world - and the building (buildings?) are hugely impressive. My only criticism would be that arriving from the Metro you feel like you're entering though a shopping mall. If you're in Paris - you have to do it.

My partner and I were lucky enough to visit the Musee du Louvre in Winter, 2015, where it was still very busy. Luckily, we were able to skip the queue with the 'Paris Museum Pass', which gives you free access to over 60 sights in Paris, for about 70euro for the week. This also includes skipping the queues, which came in handy.
The Louvre is VERY big and can be overwhelming, so if you’re limited on time it is best to plan ahead, by pinpointing particular things you want to see, and what wings you want to visit. The Louvre is split into three wings: The Richelieu wing (mainly houses the apartments of Napoleon III, the sculpture gardens, Islamic, Iranian and Mesopotamian art, and decorative arts and paintings from the 14th to 19th centuries); The Sully Wing (oldest wing of the Louvre containing ‘big names’ such as the Venus de Milo, the Sphinx, and Psyche revived by Cupid's Kiss sculpture); and the Denon Wing (housing da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, The winged Victory, Michelangelo’s Rebellious Slave, and Michelangelo’s Dying Slave).
The Mona Lisa was very beautiful and is worth getting to first before it fills up too quickly, as it can get very crowded, it is also important to note that you can’t get too close to the Mona Lisa, as they have bars in place to stop people. My personal favourite piece was the Young Martyr by Paul Delaroche, which is not considered one of the best pieces, but is a complete must-not-miss in my mind, and is located behind the Mona Lisa.

Still enjoy Notre Dame though I must have seen over and over through the years! Specifically like to spend time at the portals, go to the garden in the back and kind of imagine Hugo The hunch back of Notre Dame. Nice place to dream and remember the novels of years past.

We went to the Louvre in the early morning and it was great. We bought Paris Passes and we skipped the line I would highly reccomend buying a ticket or the Paris Pass where you can skip the line as it the line when we went was gigantic. The Museum is well organised and clear as to where you need to go for certain attractions. The whole outside area and the buildings are a wonderful sight themselves. This is a definite must when visiting Paris.
