Owner description: This beautiful museum, once a railroad station, now houses a staggering collection of Impressionist art, as well as other items created between 1848 and 1914. In 2011, the museum is running a renovation of the top floor (impressionist gallery). Only ground and medium floor are accessible. The top floor will re-open on the 20th of October. Meanwhile, some impressionist masterpieces are not visible.

You can see everything in an hour. Really all it has to offer is the Monet Water Lillies panels.

If you love the Impressionist period of art this is the place for you. The variety and quality of the works are breathtaking. The museum itself is an engineering masterpiece. A must not miss destination when in Paris. This was my second time visiting and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

Beautiful museum & gallery in a building that's inside and out. Our children (10 & 11) loved it and were happy to spend hours there. Worth the entrance fee but note that it's free entry on the first Sunday of the month - there will be a queue but it moves quickly (we waited an hour) and you can go in the 'students' door if all the children with you are 8 or under.

Fabullous building. Expensive cafe, but cool sitting behind a giant glass railway clock. Lots of Van gogh, Renoir, Monet etc

All of the highlights of the Louvre. Especially liked the Art Deco pieces and the actual museum itself.
