Owner description: This beautiful museum, once a railroad station, now houses a staggering collection of Impressionist art, as well as other items created between 1848 and 1914. In 2011, the museum is running a renovation of the top floor (impressionist gallery). Only ground and medium floor are accessible. The top floor will re-open on the 20th of October. Meanwhile, some impressionist masterpieces are not visible.

Lots to see and worth the wait.
You will need to spend most of the day here to look at everything. Had to wait a long time table in cafe for lunch. Would advise get there early and maybe you will be done by lunch time. The restaurant was beautiful but this also had a long line of people waiting. Cafe was expensive hate to think how over the top restaurant prices were but if I go back I think I would look and see because it would be a one off experience.

“A wow place!”

A very beautiful building. With a good quantity of art works.
Reserve some hours and walk with calm to enjoy all things.
Go to the highest floor and take photos through the big clocks.
Before leaving enjoy a good coffee near the exit door.

“Great things comes in small packages.”

My favorite Paris museum. The masters are all packed inside this bright and airy beaux arts former railway station, the centerpiece of Paris most intimate art collection. A close up look at each painting allows you to examine the brushstrokes of the world's great painters. It also contains one of the most extensive collection of decorative arts. There's no line if you buy a ticket in advance.

Exquisite collection. There, you will see the famous Bal au Moulin de la Galette by Renoir. It's about the only museum where it is forbidden to take pictures,

“Excellent Modern Art Museum”

The converted train station has great charm. The art work is all excellent to see as a group. Would recommend getting some kind of audio guide.
