Like most people, I booked this hotel after reading the positive reviews. However having stayed here for 3 nights just a few days ago I would advise against staying in this hotel unless you're a very deep sleeper.
Pros: strong hot shower, daily housekeeping, lots of eateries nearby, lively area, near to metro

Cons:
1. walls are paper thin, could hear everything-from the motorbike trekking past, someone showering upstairs, person coughing and talking next door and or when they close their door.. Literally everything, which really made our sleep and trip uncomfortable

2.had a stained pillow when we first checked in-the stained pillow was right in front of the bed, so not sure how they would have missed it.

3.Room is small and very basic, makeshift shower with curtains which doesn't fully shut-which we can live with, but the noise and disrupted sleep has put us off from returning.

4.its close to a metro station, but its not close to any sights if you're thinking of walking by foot.

Please note we stayed facing the side street, and there was an option to pay 30euros more per night to sleep facing the courtyard, but we decided against it as the walls were paper thin anyway, and would have made little difference.

Dear Madam,

We would like to thank you for taking time to give us feedback about your stay at our boutique hotel.

We are sad to read that you have not enjoyed your stay with us not having the possibility to have a nice sleep.

We are however thankful for the list of pro's that you have written. Our area is indeed considered one of the most animated areas of Paris highly appreciated by the locals for the choice of restaurants, bars and shops it offers. We are not situated in one of the most popular touristic areas, by you can easily get to the famous cemetery Père Lachaise (10 min on foot) from here, or visit the famous Marais (25 min on foot). As for the museums or the Effeil Tower, we are very well served by the direct metro lines and buses.

As you state it yourself, we do have rooms that face the courtyard and are considered the calmest ones in the hotel. We also try to place our guests as high as possible in order to avoid the possible noise from the street.

We are sorry that we could not find a mutual solution in order to make your stay better.
We hope that your next stay in our capital would correspond to your wishes.

All the best,
BLC Team

Just returned from two stays at BLC. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Exceptional restaurants, cafes, bars, markets, boulangeries within steps. Walkable everywhere and also perfectly connected by several metros. Loved the neighborhood. My first stay was two nights in a Deluxe room 100 which is on the ground floor right next to the breakfast bar. This is a large room with a huge bathroom, the shower and sink in room 100 are inside the bathroom (not in the bedroom) it also has a private walled patio with a table and 2 chairs. The front desk kind of advised me it could be noisy, however I heard nothing at all. They have placed heavy velvet drapes just inside the entry door which seemed to keep the room perfectly silent. The reception was super friendly on arrival and stored my luggage, later they also provided me an iron on request as well as ice. The gentleman at checkout was cordial.
My next stay, later the same week, was one night, and I had a Deluxe room on the top floor (603), it was spectacular. This room was very wide, with two windows on the street side, one with a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower! It had sort of a room divider and provided more space than room 100. This room has the sink and shower in the room and then it has a huge WC room with a window. I loved this room too. Reception was again very helpful on arrival and remembered me from a few days prior.
I opted not to have the hotel breakfast, instead I sampled the neighborhood cafes, all excellent. I would return to BLC because the location is perfect and the price is a great value for the quality of the room.

Dear Timbo212,

What a pleasure to read such a complete review of two of our deluxe rooms : 100 on the ground floor and the 603 on the top floor.

We are glad to read our ground floor room has fully corresponded to your expectations concerning a big private bathroom. Hope that you have enjoyed the terrasse too.

It is true that our deluxe rooms on the top floor facing the street open a view on the romantic rooftops of Paris and Eiffel Tower as well. Thank you for complimenting your second room.

Your words about our devoted team would be transmitted to each member and be assured that they would be really appreciated.

Book directly on our website or contact us to enjoy our best available price.

We do hope to see you back very soon and please receive our most sincere greetings.

Warmest regards,
BLC Team

This hotel is small and a wonderful find in the 11tharr. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. If you are used to large rooms, this may not be the place for you. We had two rooms, one very small good for one, and the other larger good for two people. The rooms are quiet, clean, and the showers are great. They should find a solution for the shower spraying outside the shower curtain. The air conditioning is very good as well. The decor is mostly white and minimal. I truly enjoyed our room ( my self and daughter) The price is very good value. I highly rec this hotel

We do highly recommend BLC, but first, a couple issues: When we arrived to check in, we were surprised to find that our family was split into two rooms; the reservation (from Hotels.com) made it seem like we would all be in one room with one large/full or queen bed and two smaller/twin beds for the children. Instead, we were given two separate rooms. The doors were right next to each other, so we worked it out: one parent and one child in each room. Like all of France it seems, the rooms are very efficient/compact/small. But we are not very big, and found the beds to be very comfortable. One room didn't have wash cloths, but the bath towels were big and comfy- these are the little things that make a hotel nice.

For the price of the breakfast, (13 euros adult/ 6.5 child) fresh fruit would have been welcomed, instead of fruit cocktail/ cut up in a syrup, since local seasonal produce was so prevalent otherwise. There were no eggs on the second day for our breakfast, and the sausages were not to our tastes- more like a meat slurry in a casing. Eggs on the first day were pre-made plain omelettes, o.k., but out-of-the-fridge cold. These are minor critiques, and if we were better organized we would have figured out good alternative for breakfast outside the hotel.

Overall, this was a very good accommodation. It was very comfortable and a good value; friendly staff, and we highly appreciate being able to speak with them in English. Their air conditioning was a blessing to make the hot weather a lot more tolerable, especially at night. We would definitely return.

Dear Andrew S,

We thank you for taking time to leave this very positive review.

We are glad to read that you enjoyed your stay.

It is true that we have adjoining room for families so 2 rooms close to each other.
But we will see with Hotel.com that it makes a better description of thi type of room .

Until we see you again, we wish you a nice summer.
