This was a repeat visit to Le Chamarre to celebrate my birthday and it was a good choice.
The service is charming, professional and relaxed.
The quality and presentation of every dish was exquisite. And the cooking.... Imagine that you were the best cook you could be on a really good day then these are the kind of things you would make. Not over complicated, just excellent combinations of lovely ingredients.
The restaurant has a covered terrace, perfect for enjoying warm Paris evenings.
The foie gras starter was delicious as was the lobster and I understand that the speciality beef dish with mushrooms was extremely good.
Desserts were also delicious and mine came with a birthday sparkler.
A lovely place to go for a special occasion.

After visiting the Sacré-Cœur with our family we were looking for a restaurant that wasn't a tourist trap with terrible service and horrible food. This restaurant is absolutely fantastic, the kids had a enfant menu with meat or fish and we surprised ourselves with a 7 course menu. It was really nice and the service was perfect! I can recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice dinner just a 5 minutes walk from the famous Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris!

The food and ambiance was just wonderful. We had a patio table on a very nice day. The Foie gras appetizer came two way and was delicious. Filet and and chief's treat were delicious as well as desert.

We had spent the morning at Basilica Sacre Couer and the tourist area of Montmartre and wanted a place to eat away from the main area. We took a walk down rue Lamarck and found Le Chamarre. What immediately attracted us was the large wooden deck at the top of the stairs under the cover of the trees - it looked cool and inviting.

We got a table on the deck and from there things only got better. The service was exceptional and the food was sublime. My wife ordered off the prix fix ( asparagus salad to start and a pork dish for mains ) while I started with oysters followed by duck fois gras ( the best I have ever had ) for my mains. Nice wine by the glass so I could match per course.

The restaurant is beautifully set up. Well worth a visit.

We don't get up to the pleasant streets of Montmartre often enough, so were delighted with our first visit to Le Chamarre -- two couples out on a lovely late-spring stroll.
Pleasant setting on the terrace, calm and attentive service, colorful and elegant presentation, and a range of stimulating tastes and flavors -- all at the excellent value of about E 65 apiece.
Those eating more lightly had salads to start and the entree-portion fish soup for mains; more heartily, the fois gras in two styles preceded an outstanding veal with early-season morels -- always a treat.
Varying tastes meant wines by the glass, well-guided by our helpful server.
Special seasonal dessert treat -- fresh juicy cherries with a small scoop of ice cream!
In all, an experience worth searching out.
