Our party of 9 did not have a reservation, and the place seemed to be quite busy, but we were told they would accommodate us and call when our table was ready in about an hour. Sure enough they called us and off we went to discover they had put up a narrow temporary table in the Deli section, away from the restaurant area where all the waiters were working, so getting any attention from them was quite a challenge. We managed to squeeze all 9 of us on to this narrow "table", we ordered some starters, main meals (they were quite accommodating in modifying pasta dishes to our requirements off menu) and wine. Eventually food started to arrive, no starters just straight to the mains, some of which were not quite hot enough. No wine appeared and we were told they had run out of glasses, a little while later some glasses turned up, but still no wine!! by that time we had already finished the meal and asked for the bill, when it turned up they had charged us for the starters, when I pointed it out they produced another bill which still had some starters on, when I pointed it out it was taken away and a new bill arrived. We just wanted to get out, at this point, I assume it was the manager, turned up and apologized for the terrible service and brought the bottle of wine we had asked for and insisted we take it away free of charge, which at least showed they had realized how we had been treated, but our evening was ruined. It would have been far better to have turned us away, rather then squeezed us in and then provided a terrible service. I think we probably were unlucky and it was just a bad night for them, but it is their business to know when to refuse customers and when to accommodate them.
