This is an interesting restaurant near the Eiffel Tower. It is reasonably priced compared to the other restaurants in the area (which are really much more expensive that other tourist areas in the city). The food is very good and a nice change from the normal fair. A nice mix of cuisines, the service is very good and the atmosphere relaxing.

Its one of the first reviews which will not be high points as i belive that if you do not have good things to say then you should not say anything. We did visit it yesterday on the 2th of june. Our main attraction to the place was the wifi sign and the offer for a 3 part menu for a fixed amount. The food itself was okei, nothing special, but nothing to really complain about. But what killed it for us was when the waiter brought a bottle of water. We did not ask for it and to our experience usually water brought to table without ordering is free. That was not the case. Instead it costed 5,5€ that was added to our pill. As a person who eats out freaquently out i find this kind of traps very unappealing and thus i will never eat at that place again.

I have been a few times at Doina and I have always had a very good experience.
The Romanian dishes are simply delicious- some of the best I have had abroad from Tokyo to NYC. The location is also great, next to Tour Eiffel. Because it is a unique family restaurant, the service is warm and familiar - I would recommend going there on Tue or Wed when Florin, the owner`s son, could answer any of your curiosities about Romania culture & food and recommend great Romanian wines from their wide collection. Overall, the décor and hospitality gives a pleasant introduction to Bucharest and Romania d`autres fois. Recommending it with pleasure! :)

It was an interesting and enjoyable experience to try Roumanian cuisine. I would not have gone there on my own without my Roumanian friend. It was also a good idea to go there on Easter Monday. The soup was good, a nice sour milk taste, some lamb pieces with their fat giving the soup more consistency. The main course was a little was a big portion of mashed liver and a tiny portion of lamb meat around a sizeable portion of lamb bones. The accompanying fries were good and the side pickle and peppers too. Wine was very good and reasonable, a Roumanian merlot. The desert was Ok, kind of Rhumbaba and another one tasted like a basque cake. Service was friendly and efficient.

Do not expect a chic restaurant and reserve your table because the restaurant is very small and quite busy, especially on Sunday for lunch. It is a family business with the father as cashier, the daughter as waitress and the mother at the kitchen. The food is really good, not as tasty as the original of course (said the real Romanian people). The portions are quite comfortable so leave some place if you want a dessert. The only problem is to find a parking place not too far and be careful where you park because the tow-away cars are running around all the time.
