Note the cows/bulls on top of the columns when you enter the park. Best feature is the book fair held here regularly. Green lungs for a densely-populated neighborhood.

Two minutes from La Ruche. The singer George's Brassens lived near here. The Rue Brancion side has a book fair every weekend under wrought iron structures from Eiffel Tower era. Once the site of an abattoir. Several cafés, and a wonderful Poilane bakery. Roam around. Sometimes it's good to get off the very beaten paths.. Brassens loved Siamese cats, and has a place of respect for many French.

This is a great park to cut through, walk around, lounge in, people watch... well it's a park! And it isn't over run by the masses seen everywhere else in Paris. Lots of great eateries all around and easily accessible by train and bus.
