“Red Bus Tour of Paris gives you a brilliant view of all the major monuments in Paris that will wow you!”
Reviewed 4 July 2012

This tour of Paris should be done on your first day as it is the cheapest method of taking all the city's major cultural landmarks. The traffic iwill slow your progress around Paris but take the time to dply enjoy the beauty of this great historical city. Sitting upstairs will give the best photo shoots, don't stand up as the bus lurches to sudden stops regularly in the crazy traffic! Use sunblock and a light jacket as it can get breezy been in July.

“Don't expect the bus to make all stops”
Reviewed 3 July 2012

Well early in the day, the bus tour was reliable and good. But come 7:25 we came to a bus and was told not to enter. He was done for the day. So we waited for the next bus and had the bad fortune to find out that the bus driver decided to skip stops because he too was going home. They claim to run until 9pm, but don't believe them. You will be left somewhere in a city that have never traveled in.

“Take L'Open Tour instead”
Reviewed 19 June 2012

I made the mistake of assuming that the hop-on-hop-off tours would all be the same, so we bought tickets for Les Cars Rouges. I've done these types of tours in London, Dublin, Barcelona, and New York (mostly on the Grey Line) and this one is terrible. The buses were so filthy that I didn't want to sit down and the audio tour had so much static that you could hardly hear it. It also included music between the commentary and it was so much louder than the commentary that you have to keep adjusting the volume. In addition, Les Cars Rouges has only one route while L'Open Tours has four different routes and a lot more stops. The Les Cars Rouge is 29 Euros for two days and L'Open Tour is 34 Euros. Three extra routes for 5 Euros sounds like a better deal to me and I wish I had done more research before hopping on!

A very regular service, good commentary although not that much information. Polite staff.

“Fabulous "Backgrounder" Tour, Top Deck, Front”
Reviewed 13 June 2012

Caught the bus at L'Etoile (Arch de Triomphe) at 9:15 AM, asked for top deck, which driver opened, so we had first choice. Spent 2 1/4 hours on a fantastic sightseeing tour, with fab photo ops, as the route zig-zagged to cover all views. Anyone want another picture of the Eiffel Tower? The audio is excellent, in "many" languages, with music in the "blank" spaces. We did not jump on and off today, but will do that tomorrow, now that we know the route. We will stop at the Rodin Museum, the Dorsay for Van Gogh, and the L'Orangerie.
This is a "bus tour", but a great backgrounder of the key sights in Paris. If you have the time, you will not regret it, especially if they have the two days for 1 pricing.
