We booked this for a two-night stay on our vacation to France. Got a nice room with ceiling windows. Very friendly check in. We did not take the breakfast as in France there is always a bakery nearby.
Everything perfect! Opposite to the hotel is public parking for reasonable prices. In front of the hotel one of the self-guided city walks goes by, just follow the arrows with the owl on it.

Spent 2 nights here while visiting Dijon for the first time. This place is pretty good for the price. Located in the center and has a nice wine-bar with great selections for reasonable prices. Also had dinner 1 night in the restaurant which was quite good. Overall the good and bad points: On the 'plus' side: location, historic setting/building (if your room's in that section); wine bar/restaurant; price/value. The negative side: not a lot of 'service'; breakfast below avg for price; room decor's a bit 'dated'; have to navigate difficult stairs. If you're staying a 1 or 2 nights it's a good base to explore/discover this great town.

This hotel does not provide any refreshments including restaurant facilities on a Sunday night if as we have people have, traveled all day to get here your only alternative is to walk the streets in the snow in order to find food! Totally unacceptable for a supposedly 4 star hotel.

We have had to climb up a very very steep and dangerous spiral staircase to access our room, the stairs made even more dangerous due to the weather conditions.

There a numerous hotels in Dijon I would strongly recommend using one those.

Hotels that neglect to advice their customers that there are no services available on a Sunday basically have no regard for their guests.
I am aware that there is a custom in France to close on Sundays however this is the first time that we have experienced this at a hotel, therefore maybe this particular establishment would do better not to have guests on a Sunday.

Dear Madam,

We are aware that the closure of the restaurant La Closerie Sunday may cause dissatisfaction among some customers, despite our recommendations very good Dijon tables. The information has been sent to the reservation platform that you have used but unfortunately has not been put online by their services.

Regarding the room, you have been granted a free upgrade to an Executive room in the historic part of the hotel. If we had a return from you concerning the diffucultés of access to it, we could have reacted by proposing you a room accessible by elevator. It is unfortunate to specify some kind of details once the service has passed.

We also regret that you do not report the entirety of your stay. Like completing a pre-stay questionnaire at 10:30 pm, while you were already in the room, but probably to support a "request" for restoration upstream when it was not actually the case.

You also do not mention the processing of your claim, in reception, when you leave. You have commercial gestures on several levels and an offer on a future stay.

In order not to fool potential readers of opinion, it is our duty to restore the completeness of the facts and the answers which were brought to you.

Best Regards.

La Direction

This hotel has a great location & parking if you reserve ahead. It's a lovely old hotel, with some interesting communal area's. The room however was a let down been fairly small, dark and mainly due to a bad damp smell, as it was high season knowing the hotel was full upon check in we didn't really have a choice, we put the air con on and found it seemed to take some of the smell away. The rest of our stay in Dijon & the hotel was very pleasant, they have a lovely outside area for breakfast & the service was good. Overall I would stay here again, just not in the same room.
