We stayed two nights in May. Like other Maison D'hotes where we stayed this was located on a back street, behind a non-descript door. We called ahead to let them know our arrival time. Madame Bouchard met us when we rang and unloaded our bags, she then showed us to a private entrance to a lovely large private garage adjacent to her garden. There were steep winding steps to our room on the top floor (Les Vignes room). The other room is also up these stairs, but only one level up. Our room had 2 levels, on the higher level was an area for suitcases, a desk, loft bed area, and small window out back..a few steps below was the main bedroom with a large, extremely comfortable bed with luxurious linens, dresser, closet w/ small flat screen TV inside. Off this bedroom was a very large elegant gleaming white bathroom w/fresh flowers from the garden, tub w/ hand held sprayer, sink & toilet...everything immaculately clean. It's clear Madame is a perfectionist and no detail is missed. Her garden was stunning, an attraction in itself with multitudes of climbing roses on stone walls, irises, vegetables, worth the stay just for the garden. There was a table and lounge chairs to sit out. The home has a separate duplex for owners. Madame speaks English, breakfast at her lovely dining table included homemade confitures from her garden fruit, rhubarb sauce from her garden, coffee or hot chocolate, 1st strawberries from her garden, bread and cheese, fresh flowers on table. This was just such a lovely place, and Madame was very helpful. Would've loved to stay longer just to enjoy this place and more of Beaune.

Room Tip: Only two rooms, both are lovely. Les Vignes requires bringing luggage up more steep steps.

My wife & I had a comfortable 3 night stay. We had the upper Vineyard room which is spacious and has a view of the home's back garden. The bathroom amenities are all new & the room is comfortable. Every morning Cecile prepared a typical light French breakfast that was very tasty (she makes her own preserves). We had a new vehicle and were pleased to have a separate garage to store it on our stay.

You are within a 5 minute walk to the old part of Beaune where you will find plenty of good restaurants, cafes & shopping. If it is market day, you must attend as it has a carnival atmosphere and there are many vendor stalls. We bought some cheese, bread, cold meat & wine then had a picnic in the hills amongst the old vineyards. Cecile can assist you with reservations at restaurants & she got us a good table at a 1Michelin star establishment, Le Benaton. Her husband's family also own a winery and she arranged a tour & tasting.

We do not typically stay at b&b's, but this was a very nice experience.

My wife and I stayed for three nights in the Vineyard room, which was very spacious with huge timbers supporting the roof high above, and a separate area with a desk and an additional bed. The inn is very well situated on a quieter street within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops in the old city. Cecile could not have been more friendly and helpful. This is also their family home which is hundreds of years old and solidly built. There is a beautiful garden out back that Cecile and her husband maintain. Breakfast each day was fantastic. Everything was so fresh and delicious - bread, pastries, homemade preserves, cheeses, the freshest yogurt, fruit salad, and the best coffee. Each room has its own garage space, which is a great benefit if you plan to drive around the Burgundy region - a must.

We stayed 3 nights over Easter and couldn't be happier with the B&B:

- The location is great with everything within walking distance
- Cécile was very welcoming and friendly, with many great tips on places to eat and to visit, which didn't disappoint. She also helped arrange all the reservations.
- The breakfast was delicious and generous, with a lot of variety (different breads and jams every day, in addition to other extras).
- The room was nicely decorated, impeccably clean and very quiet (great for sleeping).

Overall, absolutely the best B&B I've ever stayed in.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night on our way down to Provence. Very comfortable bed and decor and we were made very welcome.
Everywhere was reachable within a 10 minute walk and we had dinner in one of the restaurants they recommended and shared a table with another couple who were also staying at Les Planchottes. The breakfast was superb - even had home made jams from their own fruit.
You can also buy wine from them - which we thoroughly recommend.
Great local market on a Saturday morning which should not be missed.
