My wife & I had a comfortable 3 night stay. We had the upper Vineyard room which is spacious and has a view of the home's back garden. The bathroom amenities are all new & the room is comfortable. Every morning Cecile prepared a typical light French breakfast that was very tasty (she makes her own preserves). We had a new vehicle and were pleased to have a separate garage to store it on our stay.

You are within a 5 minute walk to the old part of Beaune where you will find plenty of good restaurants, cafes & shopping. If it is market day, you must attend as it has a carnival atmosphere and there are many vendor stalls. We bought some cheese, bread, cold meat & wine then had a picnic in the hills amongst the old vineyards. Cecile can assist you with reservations at restaurants & she got us a good table at a 1Michelin star establishment, Le Benaton. Her husband's family also own a winery and she arranged a tour & tasting.

We do not typically stay at b&b's, but this was a very nice experience.

My wife and I stayed for three nights in the Vineyard room, which was very spacious with huge timbers supporting the roof high above, and a separate area with a desk and an additional bed. The inn is very well situated on a quieter street within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops in the old city. Cecile could not have been more friendly and helpful. This is also their family home which is hundreds of years old and solidly built. There is a beautiful garden out back that Cecile and her husband maintain. Breakfast each day was fantastic. Everything was so fresh and delicious - bread, pastries, homemade preserves, cheeses, the freshest yogurt, fruit salad, and the best coffee. Each room has its own garage space, which is a great benefit if you plan to drive around the Burgundy region - a must.

We stayed 3 nights over Easter and couldn't be happier with the B&B:

- The location is great with everything within walking distance
- Cécile was very welcoming and friendly, with many great tips on places to eat and to visit, which didn't disappoint. She also helped arrange all the reservations.
- The breakfast was delicious and generous, with a lot of variety (different breads and jams every day, in addition to other extras).
- The room was nicely decorated, impeccably clean and very quiet (great for sleeping).

Overall, absolutely the best B&B I've ever stayed in.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night on our way down to Provence. Very comfortable bed and decor and we were made very welcome.
Everywhere was reachable within a 10 minute walk and we had dinner in one of the restaurants they recommended and shared a table with another couple who were also staying at Les Planchottes. The breakfast was superb - even had home made jams from their own fruit.
You can also buy wine from them - which we thoroughly recommend.
Great local market on a Saturday morning which should not be missed.

My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our stay. The B&B was located about a 10 minute walk from the center of town on a side street, which honestly didn't look like much from the outside. However, that all changed once we went inside. The little 2 room B&B is immaculately clean and the garden in the back is gorgeous. But our favorite part of our stay was Cecile. She was so warm and welcoming. As soon as we arrived she showed my husband to the garage. We had rented a car and he was a bit concerned that there were some scratches on the front. Cecile saw him looking at them and immediately offered her assistance. She gave him a scratch remover but didn't have any cotton balls, so she actually went out to a nearby store to buy some. We never asked her to do any of this, but we were so grateful for the kind gesture. We felt as if we were home amongst old friends.
The breakfast is wonderful as well. Fresh bread, croissants, pastries, coffee/tea/hot chocolate, juice.. The best part of breakfast was the homemade jams which Cecile made every morning. Even if you're not a big jam fan--my husband is not--but he LOVED them.
This was definitely the highlight of our trip to France and if we ever return to Beaune we won't even look into other options.
The only negative was that we couldn't stay longer. Two nights was not enough!

Room Tip: We stayed in the upstairs room which was huge and had air conditioning. I'm sure both are great options though.
