Stayed a whole week.

Upsides:
- Staff is always smiling and seems happy to work here.
- Herbal tea for free, which is good and also helps warming up as some waiting areas are cold.

Downsides:
- No clear guidelines on changing bathrobes if wrong size or wet.
- If long stay (over 4 days), half-board is mandatory. We would appreciate more flexibility (only breakfast included, meals with only first and main or main and dessert but not the full regalia).
- Some activities (collective classes in pools) are very short (10 minutes) and the monitors deliver instructions lacking details, to the point where you may get out of the pool with an ache you did not had getting in.

This hotel was booked by our tour program. The property is very nice yet some rooms are great and some rooms are not centrally located and while comfortable just a bit small. Some on the tour got ocean/channel front rooms. Others, like us were off to a side location of the hotel and had a street view.

Over all it is always great but for some staff that lack training. For example when reserving my thalasso soins over the phone the young voice insisting in imposing the soins she picked thankfully the next day met a familiar friendly face that fixed for me this schedule.
But now not just the young staff needs to know the ropes to make client coming Back.
The Bar lady is still there and is still awful
Just take your drinks at the terrasse where the team there is running things smoothly.

I had booked myself in for an Indian body massage. The massage lasted 1h10, it was a very soft and relaxing whole body massage. I came out restored. I would definitely recommend this treatment to anyone who needs some TLC!

That doesn't mean excellent. We have been going for quite a few years now. You go knowing what to expect. I have read through a number of the write ups and I can understand the reviews. Hopefully, this will help. Its a grand old hotel, with charm, clean, good food and a good spa package. When the sun is its a sun trap. A good location. If you want a relaxing time its the place to go. A short walk to the town. A nice view from the restaurants above ground. If you feel claustrophobic the better place to be for dinner. The general restaurant is a little dingy. The decor hasn't changed in 16 years! There are plenty of things for the kids to do with a water sports club next door.

In reality ...blink when you are in the room and yes, you could not be mistaken to believe that you are in a hilton. The waiting staff are polite but a little sloppy. The food looks good but taste is a little hit and miss. Wine is fine and a good selection. The spa package is great. Over the years, the machines have taken over. less of the personal touch, which I am sure some will prefer. The recent waiting staff could do with some training.

As far as deals are concerned. There are none. What ever they say everything is full price. Be careful of the charges; everything is an extra charge. Its very expensive.

Be sure to book for dinner and ask to be seated in a certain place. You might end up in 30 degree heat on the terrace or close to the corridor, next to screaming children. Not often but when they do scream I must say much better behave than english children in the UK restaurants.

As with everything its what you make of it. Good to get away but an expensive get away!
