Lunch with a mi cuit salmon in saffron sauce with tiny mussels. Top quality cooking and ingredients, and Madame, the proprietor is delightful.

We had a very good lunch here during a short visit to Perigueux. Good flavours, carefully prepared, delicious dessert and very nice wine; service was friendly and efficient. It's in a little side street with no garden, so not a particularly pretty area, but as it was raining that didn't bother us. Atmosphere homely, calm and relaxing rather than buzzy. Not cheap, but excellent quality. Would defnitely recommend.

Visited here on a Friday lunchtime as part of a day trip to Perigeaux.
The service was superb, the best we've had this week in the region.
The food was also superb, different from the usual Perigod fare, and cooked very well.
We had a starter and main as part of the €29 euro menu. As part of this we also got two lots of amuse bouche, and petit fours.
The waiting staff assisted in the translation of the menu, as it wasn't all your usual easy to translate items!
For starters we had salmon with asparagus which was cooked beautifully, and a seafood dish with cream sauce.
For mains we had monk fish in a beef bourginon sauce with mushrooms and small fried potatoes - which was amazing, and a beautifully cooked sea bass fillet.
Definitely recommended if you're in the area for the quality and presentation of the food, and the service you receive from the staff.

Visited here for lunch on the spur of a moment's recommendation, hence did no reserve. Coats taken at reception. Fairly busy for the 8th January. There were several set formulas. I had a starter and a main course and my husband had three courses. We drank aperitifs and ordered a lovely bottle of red wine. My husband had a Calvados and coffee to finish. The bill was €100, plus the extra we gave the waiter. We had something like a salmon ceviche mise bouche with our aperitifs and another mise bouche before our starters. We both had scallops and black pudding with parsnip purée, apples and lardons. My main was stuffed rabbit, with Jerusalem artichoke crisps and parsnip purée. My husband had 'rouget' fish and then a dessert of choux pastry, crystallised ginger, vanilla ice-cream and cream. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent. We had a few little conversations together and it was a lovely surprise to discover this lovely restaurant. We look forward to returning for another wonderful meal.

We arrived unannounced and were made welcome in spite of the restaurant being very busy. We had an excellent lunch and lovely wine I will certainly return.
French good at its best, thank you.
