Nice place in the old town (which worth a night walk) with a decoration that could be a little more fancy.
The cuisine is nice, well cooked but there is no much choice.
Service is very smilly and well done but a bit slow.
All in and to be honest, we have spent a nice evening but were a bit disappointed

We had errands to do in Périgueux, some 50 kms from where we live so we decided to make the errand day pleasureable with a lunch at this Micheline one-star restaurant. The reception was as usual warm and very friendly as we have been going to this restaurant for years. We had as mise en bouche or appetite opener a mousseline of green asparagus accented with black garlic ice cream. Starter was a ravioli of langoustine set on green spring veggies and surprising thin slices of couenne (pork skin) which I thought were mushrooms. It is no wonder Italians call the cèpe mushroom "porcini" as there is a taste resemblance to pork fat. My husband had a fish dish of St Pierre while I ordered a confit of beef cheeks accompanied by green asparagus tips and a carrot mousse with saffron. Dessert was a timbale of chocolate sabayon. All this drank with a light brouilly. Coffee came with a mignardise of cannelés, tuiles, guimauve. As usual, we left the restaurant smiling, feeling spoiled rotten!

Nice chic restaurant..one star... in this Small town. Make a booking. We arrived 2 minutes after opening..as did many others..so getting the ordering and a drink was a bit slow. But when it happened it was fantastic.. Wine List very good and advice from the waitress/owner? was very helpful.. we drank merlot from this region ,lovely and very reasonably priced. We chose 3 courses, but with the amuse bouche and a final desert tasting plate, was 5 all for 45 euros. Wow.

We tried to book by email from Canada but did not receive a reply. My husband called from Bordeaux and we were lucky to get a lunch booking on one of our requisite days. The warm welcome and great service made our meal very enjoyable! We started our meal with complimentary taramasalata, crostini, and olives. This was followed by a complimentary cream of asparagus soup/mousse with black garlic ice cream. We then enjoyed entrees of foie gras and langoustine ravioli, followed by the main courses of perfectly cooked lieu jaune and beef cheeks. Desserts were a strawberry pastry with an amazing basil sorbet and a chocolate hazelnut creation with pistachio ice cream. Our meal ended with complimentary mignardises. We were so full! Thank you for the wonderful dining experience! Highly recommend!

The restaurant offers good and fair French cooking without a crazy price tag. Lunch is even better value for money.
