As with most establishments in France this restaurant is closed until 730psm. We were there on a Friday evening as soon as it opened and within half an hour every table was full. We had calamari for starters and lamb as main course. It was all delicious. The bill for two people with two beers and two glasses of wine was 70 euros

Our surf instructors suggested this place. We wanted local and not fancy. This was the right place. Staff was accommodating, especially since none of us spoke French. They helped with the menu translation, pushed us to order the nightly special, which was fresh turbot, and seemed to really enjoy our group. The mussels were fantastic. Small, fresh and full of flavor. The pork dinner was also delicious. And I'm told the baked potatoes were tender and soaked perfectly in butter!

Well priced (for Biarritz) we had a light dinner of moules, croccettes and a few other basic tapas dishes. Nice flavours and everything was fresh and well seasoned. House rose was well priced and good. Not the nicest location to sit outside as it's on a roundabout, but good, lively, vibe inside.

This place has been one of the best restaurant in town for years. Every time I come back to Biarritz I make sure to spend at least one evening there. Had a great time yesterday evening. Fish (merlu) was just perfect ! People very friendly and professional. Don't miss this place if you are in Biarritz !!!

It's okay - nothing fancy and nothing to write home about, but okay. I'm always amazed that visitors from overseas in restaurants like this never seem to get one of those small plates of olives before the meal arrives; everyone else seems to get one, but not us. Either there's a conspiracy or the service is inconsistent. However, wine here is passable at 10E for a 50cl carafe, and mains are generally fine. My wife enjoyed her cod and my black pudding (both 16E) was also fine. The main accompaniment is a baked potato wrapped in foil. There's the usual range of desserts and I enjoyed my ile flottante. So don't expect haute cuisine here, just rustic Basque fare. On the up side, the atmosphere was friendly and enjoyable, and the children's burger and chips, with a boule of ice cream, for 6E, was good value.
