First and foremost is a fabulous wine list including a number of local wines.
Next is a wonderful selection of small plates, some generous enough for a whole meal, others to be shared.
Third is the oysters, cold, salty, and served only with lemon wedges.
But maybe the most important was the warm reception and generous help of the wait staff. The menu is a chalkboard in French. My French is good enough to decipher most menues but if yours isn't, ask. Our waiter recommended an outstanding local white wine. We paired it with oysters, foie gras, salmon tartare, and shrimp. The place is busy but the waitstaff remained attentive and willing to help.
Have a great time!
