We were actually quite lucky to bump into this restaurant as it was raining and we were not really searching for something special. However we were quite lucky; I ate some local specialty I forgot the name of but it was quite good.

Last week we visited this place following a recommendation from a local person.
The food was very good simple just right.
Besides this the prices were very reasonable.
The service was great very attentive and prompt.
Thank you

The formula is simple ; fresh and quality ingredients, limited carte of uncomplicated, very favoursome dishes, friendly, relaxed, personalised service.
This is a restaurant well worth patronising in a part of Bayonne called the Petit Bayonne.
PROBLEM : the Talegi lacks visibility, so you may need to ask the way.

The food is home-made in the sense that there is actually a cook on-site who actually prepares the fresh, simple, and tasty food. The other person working in the restaurant was a friendly, helpful, and available waiter. We had a half-bottle of locally-produced rosé wine, and started off with a charcuterie: an assortment of local hams and sausages. The assortment was good, varied and plentiful – we couldn’t finish for fear of not being able to fit in the main course. One dish of the main course was a duck parmentier: a sort of shepherd’s pie, served with a side of lettuce hearts with a balsamic vinaigrette. The lettuce was a perfect complement to the cheesy parmentier. The other dish was “bar” or sea bass, in this case the entire fresh fish grilled with just the right touch of garlic and a lovely leek fondue on the side. All for a moderate price. The entire experience was delightful.
