The Hotel is situated in a fantastic location opposite the main train station. Easy 100m walk from station to hotel. The staff are excellent and are very welcoming. We stayed on the fifth floor. Room was very good in size. Bed is a queen with nice mattress and soft pillows. The rooms are very well maintained and are freshly renovated. The bathroom is large enough and very modern and freshly renovated. You can't go wrong staying here. The lift is the smallest I think I have ever been in and is a bit of entertainment in itself cramming in your suitcases. Easy walking distance to the middle of town. Good pubs and restaurants nearby with McDonald's across the road. Fantastic location.

Very sweet hotel, very close to the Central Station and other hotels. Public transport are nearby. People on reception are very kind and helpful. I have very nice stay there. The room was very well designed even as other reviewers noticed the bathroom is small but that it was not any problem because it fits properly and for business stay very nice. I have not had breakfast because I dont like anything that requires extra paying and usually not big fan of breakfasts. In one word I recommend this hotel and when I return in Strasbourg i will go there again. The most important is that they have room for smokers so need not to be bothered and humiliate to go out.

Room tip: to main street and central station

It looks like a budget hotel at first glance, but has many features of a mid-priced quality hotel. The building is nicely renovated with clean rooms that are well-equipped, and the location is perfect for exploring downtown Strasbourg from the train station area. The front desk staff were very helpful; for instance we stayed one night in a smallish room, and the next morning saw a couple of adjoining rooms being prepared with more space. They allowed us to move, no problem - so be aware the room sizes vary. The very good breakfast area on the 3rd floor is brilliant (and so was the breakfast selection). Definitely a nice surprise for this hotel.

Room tip: higher floors are quiet at night overlooking the station

I stayed in this hotel in the months of January, February, March and April 2016, during 3, 4 or 5 nights.
This is really a fantastic hotel!!! Comfortable rooms, very good beds, spacious bathrooms and l very clean. Very quiet location and very close to the central railway station and to the centre of the city.
Close to very good restaurants. A special compliment for the staff in the hotel: very friendly people and extremely helpful ! If you are staying in this hotel, already the second day, one get's the idea "being part of a small family"! I would like to mention specially the names of Mrs Jacqueline and one of her other female colleagues: "thank you very much being so kind and willingness!". Also the gentlemen, who are taking care of the reception in the hotel, day- and night, like Monsieur Clemence and another young man, whose name I do not remember at this moment: many thanks for your good service and availability at any moment!!! My recommendation: get in touch with this hotel directly, without booking via an internet site: the staff of this hotel do merit this and you will not be disappointed!!!!

Room tip: I think, rooms on the inner side are more quiet, but: just ask the staff and they will satisfy you!

What do you need when looking for a budget hotel? A good location to public transport, good location to sights, clean rooms and beds, comfortable rooms and bathrooms, good breakfast, reliable good wifi and friendly, helpful staff - all or most at a good price.
You get all of the above at Hotel Vendome. The hotel is right opposite the main station, opposite a car park, and 5 to 10 minutes maximum walk from all the sights and shopping centres of this lovely city. The rooms are small'ish but boast desks, spacious cupboards, and large comfortable beds. Everything is clean, and there is extra bedding. Our bathroom boasted a shower in the bath and was big enough. The water temperature and strength perfect. If you're a very large person then the toilets may be too small, but they have bigger, more comfortable rooms for disabled on request. You get a free wifi voucher for each device, and it is fast and reliable.
The breakfast is optional at 8€, and worth it. You are surrounded by restaurants if you wanted to do your own thing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 4 nights and visited other cities from here. Lastly - all of this come at a great price. I can recommend this hotel and will go stay there again.
