An unprepossessing entrance via the gated car park, (€13 per night, booked) or via a cobbled tree lined courtyard at the front.
The hotel has been very recently refurbished with soft grey carpeting in the public areas.
Our room, €210+, was small with a separate toilet away from the bathroom. The bathroom was a decent size but the bath/ shower had a high side to climb over and a slippery bath. The shower, fixed on the wall, was immoveable and set at an impossible to use, apart from being hand held, angle.
Comfortable super king sized bed. This was a comfort room. There was a good coffee maker, with 1 pellet each allowed.
We didn't eat at the hotel. If you want fine dining book well in advance. Breakfast was €23 each. Too much!
The hotel is in an excellent shopping area and very close to the beautiful old town. There are many restaurants close by, certainly within strolling distance and getting list in Colmar is part of the delight of being there!More
