My boyfriend & I stayed here because it was a good priced hotel not far from the city centre. The staff were lovely, really attentive and friendly. The rooms were small but cosy, the bed was comfy, the room clean. Sometimes when I stay in hotels it’s so noisy in the mornings, but it was lovely and quiet. Also, we had breakfast both mornings we were there, and it was delicious. Good variety & the hash browns were so good! Other than the bath being way too small, it was a lovely experience.

Just spent two amazing days at Chancellors Hotel for our wedding. This is a fantastic venue - beautiful building, beautiful grounds. The food was great and the staff were absolutely wonderful - nothing was too much trouble. Lisa, who coordinated the wedding has been great and ensured that everything ran like a dream. Can't praise this venue highly enough.

Had a wonderful and tasty afternoon tea for 4 (via groupon). Everything was extremely high quality and set in amazing surroundings.
Would definitely return for more. The grounds are worth a walk around afterwards - check out the bee hives half way down the garden if you get a chance

My daughter bought a groupon voucher for my birthday. I was a little apprehensive after seeing a few negative comments regarding the sizing of the rooms. I was NOT disappointed!! When we checked in the reception was clean cut and fresh. Our room was a standard double room and was absolutely fine for us size wise. The decor was modern and immaculate. The bathroom was amazing! Best shower ever! It was huge and had two heads! Absolutely lovely. Breakfast was a buffet and again was yummy. My gluten free veggie breakfast was spot on. I’d already read up about the mini afernoon tea and the option of upgrading to a full tea for £6 before we went so we did this without fuss. We had a tasty afternoon tea, and again, my dietary needs were catered for without a problem. It is a few miles out of the city centre but we managed to find a bus route for £2 each. The gentleman that worked the night shift both nights we were there was so helpful ( Peter) Nothing was too much trouble for him, he replenished our coffee and milk, gave taxi and bus advice, a really lovely helpful guy. We had such a lovely stay, I thoroughly recommend a stay here if you’re ever in or around Manchester!

How very kind of you to reflect on your recent stay and express your delight and recognition of everything we agree is what makes Chancellors Hotel. We know Peter will be overwhelmed with your recognition of his knowledge and courtesy and will be sure to pass on your appreciation. Thank you for noting the clean and comfortable and thoughtfully decorated bedroom and bathroom, your enjoyment of our afternoon tea - we agree the conservatory and bar overlooking our private garden are most pleasant, and breakfast met expectations too.
