This bakery is one of the best I have ever bought from, you can tell the bread is good as if you leave it too late in the day-none left. Various shop owners in Bury and Didsbury stock small quantities of their bread, my favourite bread is Norlander.

this icon of chorlton has been existing offering some of the best bread to locals , travelers and restaurants ,cafes..often buy bread and sit for a drink when i have a chance, the place has developed and changed offering more space for seats.progress for some but for me i adore the charm of the old, that s me ...apart from that it is along with Out of the Blue,Frosts and Unicorn they form treasures of Manchester all within walking distance of eachother , you cant find that quality anywhere

This delicatessen is by far best in all of Manchester and I have been to a couple, freshly baked goods every single day, they specialise in different types of bread baked fresh. A lot of the top restaurants and bars and a few other establishments use them.

Best time to go if you can in the morning before lunchtime Saturday around 10 AM seems to be the busiest. It's only Sunday that not open. They do an awesome all day breakfast whether you have the vegetarian option or the all singing all dancing bacon with sausage mmmm, coffee is good too.

On a Saturday they have like Frankfurt bbq type theme outside with all the different sausages either eat them on the outside terrace type seating area or within the indoor seating. Indoor seating is not as big beat, but better than sitting outside.

I go there for bread and cakes so I suggest you do too

One of Chorlton's highlights - particularly when twinned with Unicorn food coop across the road. Great bakery, wonderful selection of cheeses and cut meats, with some days hot food on deck outside. Busy but turnover means I always get a seat.
