Most likely there are better places to eat in Manchester. This restaurant is huge but was mainly empty when I was there. Still it took about 40 min to get a simple soup.

Meeting up with my sister we had intended to visit Chinatown but the "Beast from the East" was in town and it was too bitterly cold to venture outside. in fact it was pretty cold in the Level 3 dining area. I had a blue cheese burger which was average, Sis went for the curry and asked if it was freshly prepared, was told yes but she said it tasted like it came out of a bottle, certainly did not taste good. Would not recommend or revisit.

Gone are the nice white table cloths and tables by the window. The new decor looks more like a JD weatherspoons. We had booked and were told on arrival that we would need to wait for 40 to 50 minutes for food as they were too busy with afternoon tea. After sitting in the bar area we were shown to a table minus the white table clothes from before at the back of the restaurant not the window we had asked for. We mentioned the taste card to be told it wasn't accepted, despite it saying it is on the taste website and had mentioned it on booking. We asked and was again told no. There also wasn't many others there or having afternoon tea.

Some gruby menus were presented and a long and protracted clunky service commenced with some of the dishes arriving together.

The food was reasonable although nothing to write home about. We had desserts which also didn't arrive together choosen from equally grubby menus before settling the £200 bill at full price.

Won't be rushing back.

Revisited the hotel for work and wish we didn't have to eat in the restaraunt. They had run out of steak and sea bass when we ordered but 15 minutes later we were told that they had also run out of burgers. How does this happen in a 4 star hotel When they have the same menu every day? When the food arrived after waiting an hour, one was wrong, two didn't have the vegetables quoted on the menu which were clearly frozen and not roasted. Two more had undercooked naan bread and chicken as well as mango chutney was clearly straight from a jar. there was about 10 minutes between the first meal turning up and the last.
We spoke to the restaurant manager who advised that the kitchen had been busy with many orders for room service. When we mentioned the under cooked food he told us that it was bought in pre-cooked and heated up, not what I would expect from a £15 a head meal. He did offer us more food but by this time we had lost all confidence in their ability provide anything.
I will not be returning, regardless of his assurance that he has taken the feedback onboard. The following night we ate elsewhere and got much better value for money and food for half the price.

Travelled on my own. Hard to find any staff. Not over warm in the restaurant. Gammon was ok but slightly dry. Breakfast the next day was ok but nothing special.
