Travelled on my own. Hard to find any staff. Not over warm in the restaurant. Gammon was ok but slightly dry. Breakfast the next day was ok but nothing special.

Food was good, service unpredictable. Lots of items on the menu were not available when we went down to dinner at 6pm

We booked at table for 4 people as we anticipated that the Brasserie would be busy.
How wrong we were - there were only about another four tables occupied the night we were there - just five days before Christmas.
The waitress Abbie was so attentive and could not do enough to make us feel welcome - nothing was too much trouble.
Unfortunately the food was not good and overpriced. Two of us had the ground beef burger that was so heavy and tasteless. However three of us started with the tomato soup which was quite tasty.
The Brasserie is a large restaurant but 99% empty there was no atmosphere.
If you want tasty food you need to find elsewhere to go.

We stayed only for 1 night. Hotel was exactly what we paid for. We then went to the Brasserie and ordered 2 steaks medium cooked. When the waiter brought them out to us both out steaks were cold.we then cut into them to find them raw. We complained to the waiter whom was a nice friendly person and he offered his apologies and agreed that it looked disgusting. He said he would get his manager for us. After 20 minutes there was still no sign of his manager. He was then passing by and asked us if she had been with us to which we said no. Again he apologised. We just left but probably shouldn't. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. They also had us pay before we got the meal. Food was awful and the management was terrible. Wasn't overly cheap either.

Lovely room withngreat views over the cityif you get a window table, Quiet early dinner service as the Christmas Markets outside were attracting the crowds. Good food, good service. A limited but well chosen menu, competetively priced compared with the high street run of the mill alternatives.
