“Great park and stay hotel”
Reviewed 14 March 2012

We stayed at the Radisson Blu before we flew to Switzerland and used their 8 day parking facility. We had a room with the Scandinavian theme. It was a beautiful room with plenty of space, the bathroom facilities were good. The bed was comfy and we both had a good nights sleep. We ate in the Runway and had a lovely meal at a reasonable price. The real beauty of the hotel was how easy it was to use the skywalk to get to Terminal 1, no need for buses, taxis or mini buses - fantastic.
We also stayed for one night on the way home, as a treat we booked a business class room. The fact that it was on the 8th floor and we could watch the planes come and go was the best point of the room. The room was decorated in an Italian Style which made it very pretty but it did have an unusual design with the bed being diagonally across the room. Business Class Rooms were quoted as having better bathroom facilities (not sure where), free pay per view film, (never managed to find this) and it was as well we were late arriving as the room was just being finished when we got there. The minibar was devoid of drink which was a little upsetting. The breakfast was okay. However we must compliment Wayne who came to help us get our luggage down to the car as we left.
We will happily stay again as the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is exceedingly well placed for the airport but will not book the more expensive room again.

Stayed there overnight on 13th March. Had room on 8th floor. The room was clean but it's all a little dated and tired. Some of the wooden units were worn, the tv cabinet especially, the tv was an old CRT tv and the picture was atrocious with limited channels. The curtains were very thin and let light through which I found really surprising in a modern hotel where blackout curtains tend to be the norm. The bed was coomfy at first until I moved and discovered a huge ridge in the mattress which was very uncomfortable. The alarm facility wasn't working.
Meals were acceptable but drinks prices were high. Staff were very friendly and did their best to assist. My stay was ok but competitors hotels nearby are better quality for a similar price.

For an airport hotel I found the staff very helpful and attentive and in particular the Reception and Consierge staff. Rooms are fine and its worth paying that little extra for an upgrade to what they call Business Class rooms as they are slightly larger and have good amenities such as Nesspresso Coffee machine and a desk area for working. The hotel has two food outlets to choose from and both offer good service and a selection of dishes to choose from - neither are economical in pricing, but then this is an Airport Hotel and that should be taken into consideration and you pay for the convenience, that said the quality is very good and nicely presented. For those departing from Terminal 2 this is an ideal hotel to srtay at as its only a 10 minute walk to Departures and if you require assitance it can be arranged the hotel Consierge - its probably about a 15/20 minute walk for those leaving from Terminal 1 and 3 but it is through a covered walk way and give direct access to the terminals.

Room Tip: Ask for offers on upgrades to Business Class rooms - some rooms have views over the airport so great...

Stayed here for the 3rd time. What I like about it is the covered walkway to the terminals, so no messing about with buses and lugging cases about. I always make use of the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. The soundproofing is excellent, so we were lucky enough to have a view of the airside and activities but heard not a thing all night. The rooms are nicely equipped, and the extra is an ice bucket - there is an ice machine on every floor. Very comfortable. We used the 14 night stay and park facility which was very efficient. Food a little pricey, but the pizza I had was very good indeed.

overnight business stay booked in early no problem service efficient room very clean my only problem with the room was the tv choice of channels no choice of free view ? bathroom was clean all facilities there tea coffee shower gel etc bed very comfortable lunch was very tasty the business facilities were good profiter rolls on tea breaks? evening meal was a nice choice tomato soup with a chicken dish the chicken was really succulent overall a good venue for a central business meeting venue only problem i found was parking hard to find and expensive.

Room Tip: go for the airport view
