It’s in Fallowfield, about half an hour by bus from the city centre. Buses are frequent and £1.50. There is a McDonalds next door and a Nando’s and Friendship Inn opposite.

The hotel itself is Victorian and is a bit rambling. But it has a bar and breakfast room and the rooms are fine. Bit of peeling wallpaper, but the bed was comfortable and the shower worked. Sofa, armchair and decent TV too. Tea & coffee in the room.

I got a bargain from Bookings.com. Didn’t include breakfast, and at £14 that was too much with McDonalds next door. No decent beer in the bar, but the pub is just across the road.

I’d recommend it. Perfectly fine!

The rooms are a little tired and could do with an upgrade but having said that they were perfectly adequate and clean.
Great location just outside of city centre on the south side . If you are travelling by bus six routes pass outside the hotel .So you dont have to wait for a bus for very long. Staff are friendly and interested in your stay. The one thing missing is a lift from the street to the reception and up to the 2nd floor

Room Tip: Don't have a room adjacent to the post office yard as they start very early in the morning

We do have some great reasonably priced rooms with in the Hallmark Inn which range from small doubles up to large superior rooms, we cater for all budgets.

We booked this hotel as we were flying from Manchester the day after and my son lives in Manchester so booked it as a surprise reasonably priced,small room a bit of a disappointment but breakfast made up for it everything you wanted was there

Freezing cold water and no apology from the hotel just a bizarre attempt to shift the blame to customers for not notifying them sooner. In my next hotel I must remember to check the water hourly so I can alert them to any issues. Oh, hang on a minute that's there job.

I do apologize for the issue we had with the hot water, we have just replaced the boilers in the hotel and are having a few issues with he pressure which has been investigated and a new part has been replaced which had failed.
The staff should have been more sympathetic to you regarding this situation.

Very poor.
I don't understand how some people can say this is nice, their standards must be really low. The hotel is dated and not very well kept. The stairs are threadbare.
We decided to cancel our stay and stay at a premier for the same price.
The chef was stood around in the bat and no restaurant available just bar meals.
We booked a double and was first given a twin then eventually a double. But both rooms looked as though they had not had been decorated for at least 20 years. The furniture was worn the bedding was simple white sheets and covers, no frills.
The first room had towels on the floor, but at least the staff was round within the minute not sort it.
The one saving grace was that the staff were pleasant and accommodating when we decided to leave without staying.
The place wants a full refurb.

As the review states, you didn't stay in the Hallmark Inn, so reviewing the Inn without staying here seems strange.
We do have some great rooms in the hotel, we offered you another room to which you declined so we refunded you in full and you found alternative accommodation.
We also have a refurbishment plan which we are in the middle of.
