Clearly there is an abundance of choice when searching for an Indian restaurant on the 'curry mile' but after some local recommendations I'm delighted to have picked Mughli. The menu is a bit more refined than the standard suburban generic section-by-section fare and it's a huge benefit because it means the dishes they offer are superbly cooked, packed full of flavour and the portion sizes are generous. Naan, popadoms, rice (the pulao rice with browned onions is top class) and other sundries are at least 30% better quality than in your standard Indian and the three small plates that we shared were magnificent, especially the masala fish. Butter chicken as a main was superb. Only negative is the drinks which are ridiculously expensive. Their own house draft beer is decent but is a similar strength to a Fosters. If you want Cobra be prepared to pay £5.00 for a SMALL sized bottle. An absolute rip-off. Would definitely return for the amazing food.... would just drink tap water though.

Busy early evening but got placed in a corner out of obvious sight. Girl vey quick to serve drinks but then disappeared Collared later to ask to order food and was told "one of the boys" would come and take our order. This did not happen. Them collared one of said boys and placed order. Then had to attract another girl to find out where our order was. Eventually our order arrived. This whole process took nearly an hour ! Consequently missed first act of concert.

Visited Mughli with my partner a few weeks ago and have been meaning to leave a review since. The food was all delicious, a particular stand out for me was the tandoori chicken. I also really loved the mango pale ale, so original and went well with the food. The staff were very attentive despite being extremely busy on a Saturday eve. Would return if I am ever back in Manchester!

Great restaurant, nicely decorated with brilliant food that is reasonably priced.

Service is a bit rubbish but tasty food. It is always very busy and not great for big groups.

We enjoyed one of the better curries ( balti) we have had for a while in Mughli. With a slightly different menu from your average curry house it was refreshing to read they are making an effort to introduce new ( to us ) dishes plus all the old favourites.
Our first visit and of course with our appetites nowhere near as what they could scoff we only tried a few selections of a great menu .
It was very busy s I would assume you may need to book on a Friday or Saturday, nice decor , great staff , prompt service all in all excellent ,we will go again.
Highly recommended.
