Wandered around inside and admired the beautiful architecture. A little gem amidst all the glass and concrete.

While the new extension is not altogether convincing, the original building is architecturally brilliant. The main library space is magnificent - similar to Trinity College Library in Dublin without the crowds

A hidden gem of History and Architecture. Nice coffee and cakes off the mainstream.

Good place to hide away and disappear for a day if you want a day of rest and not contacted.

The John Rylands Library is certainly a sight to behold. They have a huge collection of books from centuries ago and even have a piece of bible from 125AD. The building is beautiful and the archtecture quite stunning. Modern 21st century bits have been added on but its been done very well and doesn't clash with the old. This must be one of our National treasures
