Booked a table for 2, unfortunately on arrival they didn't seem to have our reservation logged which was disappointing however, we were offered a table immediately. Have eaten here on a number of occasions and each time have found the food excellent. Today we had roast beef dinners, the beef you can have cooked to your liking, we ordered medium. One meal was medium the other rare so we had to send one back but a new plate arrived fairly quickly. My only comment would be they should have taken both meals back and returned both at the same time, as this is not a cheap place to eat and that would be the normal expected behaviour of a good restaurant. Our vegetables were served on the side, green beans, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage; all of which were very nice! The beef came with nice roasted potatoes and a huge Yorkshire pudding with a red wine sauce. The food was great, tasty and delicious. All in all it was great and I will return.

Situated right next to the beach, and with its own carpark, the Moorings is a pleasant place to eat, and offers very good value for money, and is licenced to serve alcohol. The place is clean, if a little dated. The staff are pleasant and attentive. It is wise to book in advance, as the restaurant is usually busy.

Went today with colleagues and had a super lunch we had the sausage and caramelized red onion panni and chips, the chips were piping hot and cook lovely and the panni was delightful. The staff are friendly and very accommodating so will be going back again.

Came in on a Monday, with 2 friends. Atmosphere good, sat quickly. All of us had kidney to start which was very nice. We were given bread and butter which came in a linen bag, the bag had a lot of brown marks, didn't look good.
All 3 of us had Ribeye steak. Mostly because the menu wasn't very exciting. All cooked fine, we like the knives. The steaks themselves were good quality but we're underseasoned and carried little flavour. They were accompanied by peppercorn sauce. The peppercorn sauce tasted like gravy without much pepper, and had a skin on top, a skin that did not break when pressed with my finger, gross. Chips were ok.
My friends had the Elderflower Brulee, which they were both happy with. I had the prosecco summer fruit terrine. Seems more like a jelly with fruit and cucumber mush on top. The jelly had not set, it was runny, and was far too sweet, I had only one bite. As did my friends, we all agreed.

At no point during any part of our meal were we asked if our food was ok, despite leaving a near untouched dessert. No fairwell either. Didn't seem like they cared if we had a good experience.

Stopped here to eat on way home from Solihull . It was on a Friday evening, and we hadn't booked. No problem, said the Head Waiter..... We were shown to a table , and our order was taken efficiently, and fast; a very pleasant experience indeed, and refreshing in this day and age. Food was great, and excellent service throughout.
Well done: we guess this would be nice if the sum was out, as its right by the canal side.

Thank Philip K
