We stopped here for a coffee and to look at some plants. The first thing that struck me was the incredible size of the place - much like the Tardis! Everywhere was accessible to people in wheelchairs and those who find it difficult to walk far --there were chairs and buggies available.
The scones were really very good! We discovered that there was the Willows Restaurant there which was very spacious. We arrived in the late afternoon so the Willows had just closed. But from a look at the menu and the restaurant itself we will certainly visit there for lunch in the future! the part of the large building that we had our coffees in was massive; I did not count but I imagine it could take at least 50 people. I can recommend this garden centre to anyone who wants to buy plants as well as have a snack or a more substantial lunch!

This is a comprehensive garden centre, very clean with good quality plants and wide range of accessories. Cafe is well above average for similar garden centres. A good range of hot food and freshly made sandwiches, (about £4.75) lovely looking cakes and scones and an ice cream bar. Biggest surprise, a big mug of coffee for £2! Not the Costa/Starbucks prices. Lovely view over the stream with declining flood in the sunshine. We are fairly frequent callers here and there are often functions on for the kids, the Christmas display is fantastic.

Visited with elderly parents, good place to take a wander through the various displays sheltered from the weather. Excellent cafe for drinks and treats, huge selection of delicious looking cakes. The also have well stocked locally provided produce shop (farm shop type style). Easy to pass a few hours and also easy to find something that catches your eye to buy.

We visited a chicken farm next to the garden centre and thought we'd pop in. It was a well stocked garden centre. The plants were healthy and looked after. The cafe was nice, your average prices. We had a sausage barm as it was only 11, it was nice. I had a cherry bakewell it was bug and tasty. My husband had an Eccles cake which looked yummy he didnt complain about it. All in all a nice place.
