Stayed here for 1 night at the weekend as we had tickets for a show at the NEC. Solihull is a 20 min train journey from Birmingham city centre, and the Premier Inn is a 10 min walk from the station.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room typically PI style but clean, comfy and perfect for us. Wetherspoons is around the corner, literally! Waitrose is 5 mins away. Short walk into town. We happened to arrive during their Food and Drink Festival which was great to see. The place was buzzing. Touchwood shopping centre is v close with good selection of shops.
We stayed a Saturday night and were not bothered at all by street noise. Just someone in the room above!
Hotel staff kindly rang and booked a taxi to the NEC for us the next morning. Cost £10 and took about 15-20 mins.
Certainly recommend this PI for the surrounding area and easy access to NEC.

The room was big for been a twin, they could improve the free Internet and also include a hand held shower on the batroom. The beds are comfy but the main bed is a bit tall. The room could get very hot but other than that ithe was very cheap.

Went here last Friday as had tickets to see Kylie at the NEC.

Paid for the rooms in May so only paid about £30 each.

Hotel is modern (has electronic self check in which was great) and the rooms were clean and really good value for money.

Wetherspoons is next door and Solihull was not what I was expecting and there was a fantastic shopping centre a 5 minutes walk away.

There was a chocolate mark on our duvet when we arrived which my husband pointed out to a member of staff who replaced the duvet and gave us a complimentary breakfast on Saturday which was really good of them.

What’s not to like?

Lovely staff, good food although choices were limited and expensive. Didn't sleep well at all though... Room was very hot, thermostat wouldn't go down any lower... Windows were not openable, not even slightly for some fresh air. Felt super claustrophobic and hot all night and didn't sleep a wink.
