Tired of all the 'normal' chain restaurants we were looking for inspiration when we came across this French style bistro. It was a Friday evening, still early and we were able to get a table for two without a problem (with a warning that we needed to be out in 90 minutes).

Ambiance was great, bistro/cheese/wine shop with checked tablecloths and candles. Our server was lovely, helpful and cheery. Food was great. You could have mistaken Maidstone for Paris judging by your surrounds in the restaurant.

The fact that this place serves great food through the day (no gap between lunch/dinner) is a bonus; walk in when you feel like food, no need to adjust your hunger to meet opening times!

The early seating on Saturday nights is a two-course for £15 deal. We had the rabbit rillettes starter followed by sea bass or steak. We supplemented with one of their fruit tarts and a glass of wine. All beautifully cooked and seasoned just right. All in £70 for 3 people. Will be back.

If only been a few times before for a coffee and pastry, and not since they've expanded. Really enjoyed my first evening meal. Busy, good atmosphere on a Friday night.

Friendly and helpful staff and tasty food, with yes, good-size portions!

Tasty gin too.

Definitely one of my favourite. Big plates. reasonable prices. And good quality food. Asa French person I would highly recommend.

Chef clearly knew his stuff as well as wine experts.
Good menu presenting options for all tastes and requirements.
Typical french dishes such as Duck/ cassoulet and french patisserie. But also twists on classic British fish and chips- posh style.
French cafe decor.
Gets very busy!
Amazing French wine selection.
Shop part of bistro. Great cheeses!
